WoW Moviewatch: MMOvie, Installment 1
I realize that the trailer and the movie are cut differently to serve a purpose, but I thought that all of the good material came from the teaser video. I was able to recognize many of the real films that the trailer parodied, and only a certain few in the final cut. Despite the weak storyline, I thought that it was really well done. Hopefully the second installment will hold more exciting material!

I thought it was very funny and well-made :D when Harnold (or whatever his name is) flew around randomly on the helicopter I loled. :D

The scene towards the end where she was trying to get him to act like a warchief was the funniest thing I've ever seen. There was hilarious.

Absolutely wonderful in every respect. Comedy timing was bang on, the camera work was sublime, the visual quality was top-notch. Voice-acting was good, the references were witty and well placed, the humor was all there.
Couldn't ask for anything more, really.

I just can't stand the night elf. She's extremely annoying. I applauded when the Fel Reaver landed on her. It's a shame, I was really looking forward to this series, but she just ruined it for me.

Agreed on the Night Elf.. super annoying, but the rest of the movie (and her gruesome death) made up for it.

I'm suprised I don't like it more--and Moo I think I agree with you, trailer was better than the real thing. The humor is a little too forced for the most part. A more subtletly with the jokes (I felt like they were trying to spoon feed them to me) would be more interesting. If this were applied to future episodes I think the series could possibly be fantastic.
For instance, the scene where the Nelf is trying to use the crystal "I found it, I get to use it"--after the first failed attempt she should have stopped trying. Would have been far funnier had she handed the crystal to him at that point, than to keep trying and beat the joke into dead horse status.
A little less dialogue around the dino scene "Just hold still" would have been more interesting too, as the inevitable Nelf jiggle happens and dino fixates on its next target.
I enjoyed the various nods to different movies, Indy Jones & The Terminator, very clever. The Nelf "Treat me like you're interrogating me" scene was quite funny--again a little less dialogue would have done much more for the scene. The fel reaver stomp was absolutely great!
The ideas behind the scripting are sound, they are just overplayed to the point of having the finesse of a baseball bat at times.
The Nelf character has potential--honestly I think her voice is the most irritating part. But if they could improve the actual dialogue and change the voice over of the Nelf, I think it would be much more enjoyable.
Graphically, very well done for the most part. I'm game to view the next installment and hope for improvements.

Decently funny, though I would add that a perfect joke opportunity was missed. Should have been:
"It's the end of the world -- judgement day."
"No, probably just.. patch day."
