The 20k gold is nothing amazing. When season 3 gear hit I made over 12k gold the following day by selling gems and enchanting mats. That was nothing compared to AH speculator in our guild, he made over 50k the day after the new gear hit.

People should look at what KillerKarl said closely. People made a killing when season 2 and season 3 came out on enchants and jewels. I made about 5k and I didn't sell that much stuff. I know people who made 15k the first day after season 3 came out and 90k that first week. The Season 4 comes out is going to be good day for jewelcrafters, guilds selling their voids/lps, and enchanters. So spending 20k on a bear mount, while a little excessive, isn't that big of a deal. I'd have paid 20k for the tiger mount out of ZG if I could have.

any thoughts on whether patch 2.4 hitting will have the same effect on gems, enchanting mats, etc? I've got about 35 Earthstorm Diamonds and 20 Primal Mights sitting on my bank alt who thinks he can sell them all that week for 10g more than average. But then he's been wrong before :)
