The Thrallmar "Marksman's Bow" is 2.8. It's not that 2.8 is *that* much worse than 2.7. Does require Exalted, though. Another option if you're BM and either can't get to the Opera event in Kara (for whatever reason) or can't seem to get the gun to drop (like me) is to watch for "Don Santos' Famous Hunting Rifle" on the AH or the /trade channel. It's typically fairly pricey, but the speed is in the right range and the proc is exceptionally good, particularly for longer fights.

Oh indeed. If you have the gold, Don Santos is an excellent purchase. On the live realms the proc rate should actually provide slightly more DPS than the Veteran's Sniper Rife (the gun from Honor Hold) despite Don Santos having no direct stat boosts.
