For PvE trash clearing I would agree with you...Daggers just don't "cut" it, However on the longer boss fights, I tend to do just fine...Frequently making it to the top 1 or 2 in DPS.
I have become known in my guild as one the TOP DPS'rs.

I've been playing Rogue for almost 3 years, And I will agree that swords generally produces better results in a Raid...I'm living proof that when played CORRECTLY a dagger spec'd Rogue can easily be on par with any other damage dealer in the Raid.
