Extended maintenance extended

A fresh popup from the in-game breaking news section tells us that the extended maintenance has been extended until 12:30 p.m. PDT. They are hard at work getting patch 2.4 ready.If Blizzard is actually able to pull this patch off with these short down times, I believe it'll be the first one that they've not had to extend maintenance by hours and hours and hours. I for one am hopeful that they'll be able to do this, and am looking forward to some afternoon romping around Sunwell Isle.

I think anybody who has played this game more than a year pretty much expects this.

they had 10 servers up earlier, but dropped them after about 10 minutes. Better to fix them now instead of later. I probably have 2 days of UI work before I can fix the mazzleui errors and get back to playing for real anyway.

I have to fix MazzleUI too, and im not looking forward to logging in once the patch downloads for me -_-

Judging by a lot of the PTR stuff, the non-combat things in the UI are just fine. Unit frames, Bartender, Pitbull, HUDs, etc all seem to be unbroken.
Things that access the combat log like Scrolling Combat Text, Recount and the like are having more issues, although some things like Omen are already perfectly fine. This shouldn't be quite as bad of a FATALITY patch as some of the ones in the past, but I suppose we never know.
I've probably just doomed myself to crit errors the whole rest of the night. Mrrrr.

Yeah...you guys should hook up and fix up a 2.4 fix-the-release-mess pack for MazzleUI for all of us :)
I'd do it, but well, I don't have the time or the knowhow :P

I was definitely skeptical when I saw 11am. A couple more hours wouldn't be too bad at all, and as was stated already, much better than some previous patches have been.

Is anyone else having the text on the main login screen blink and disappear randomly???

I was able to log in on a random server and checked out the new Interface Options tab before the server went back down.

FYI: Some of the realms are starting to pop back up already. I'm seeing about 30 realms up after logging in right now.

i'll run WoWAce updater and hope that my UI will be functional (i went full Ace over the weekend hoping that would save me trouble)
