Around Azeroth: The doors of perception
With Patch 2.4 finally out, the path is clear for the next big thing -- the Wrath of the Lich King. But even though a new path has opened, players shouldn't forget some of the rocky roads of the past. The doorways of Stromgarde Keep, ably captured here by Alarion of Cenarion Circle, used to be a huge pain for levelers. But after Patch 2.3, the monsters were morphed into non-elites, and questing characters could breeze through the area. How much the world has changed, in such a short time!
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or frightening World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. We prefer full screen shots without the UI showing. And please, no more sunsets. This message has been brought to you by the Foundation Against Trite Imagery.

If WotLK is out before Thanksgiving I'll be very very surprised.

Given the time between content patches and the fact that 2.4 was the last one before WoLK, I would guess that it'll be released late summer. That's assuming they release it when it's actually finished and don't hold it 'for the holiday season.'

Why is everyone convinced that it is going to take that long for Wrath to be completed? Is it wishful thinking? All of the evidence I have seen suggests to me that the release will be Late Summer to Early Fall.

Remind me to take my new prot-pally over to Stormguard and see how many I can tank at one time and not go down under. Or have I already leveled past it? Hit 40 just a bit ago, but it goes so fast now I can barely stop off in Booty Bay for gas before landing at the Dark Portal on my way from Eversong Forest...
Just tanked half of STV last night, and what a change 2.3 made to leveling - where did all the elites go, and how did all the normals get so easy? Do I really just know how to play this game that much better than before? I doubt it.
I kind of miss having to do more than close my eyes and click a random spot on the screen. It was nice having a half a challenge in the old days. Nice screenshot, I'll have to send off some more.
This and the 'is it an exploit' thread make me wonder - is it or is it not an exploit to go on top of Ironforge, up where that airport runway is? If you know where to go, there's a straight up walkway even a level 1 gnome can make, for some nifty screenshots.
