Phase 1 Dailies: The Multiphase Survey
Finally, we reach the end of our grand tour of the phase 1 Shattered Sun-related daily quests. "The Multiphase Survey" is assigned by a doubtful Draenei named Harbinger Harnomen who can be found somewhat clockwise of the flight master in Shattrath, and it goes like this:
- Go to the Spirit Fields in Nagrand, which are near that giant crystal Oshu'gun.
- Put on the provided Multiphase Spectrographic Goggles.
- Fly/ride around and look for Multiphase Disturbances (pictured), which are only visible when wearing the goggles. When you find one, get near it and right-click your goggles. The disturbance will disappear. Six of these "readings" and you're done; flutter on back to Shattrath for
4g10g, 250 Shattered Sun rep, and another Shattered Sun Supplies (c'mon, Badge!).

1550 SSO rep? Do you, by any chance play a human?

><
never mind me. I have no gathering profession. And therefore one less quest... ( thought I'd done them all and had only 1400 rep)

I do, but I was taking my rep information from WoWWiki. They list five of the seven dailies at 250 rep, and the other two at 150, which adds up to 1550. It's always possible they're wrong, or something changed between PTR and live. Do you have a different number?

Ah.

Will you have another post like this for the Fishing Daily? On my server the 2 days of it have been Stormwind and Terokkar. Both pretty easy, but most of my friends seem to be getting the same loot from the bags each day(like each day's/quest's reward bag has specific loot).
But as for Survey quest, pretty easy, with epic flyer, you'll be at the next flame before your helmet's cooldown is up.

I've got the water walking elixir both times, but a friend got Fishing Hooks yesterday. Still waiting for something good.

So is there anyway we can find out what phase and what % each server is at? Which server will be the first to complete each phase?

Before you leave the city, check to see if the daily cooking quest is in Nagrand, and pick up "Disrupting the Twilight Portal" if you're honored with Netherwing and can deal with caster mobs in a time-efficient manner. If you can do all three in one trip, you're literally getting triple milage out of your travel time.

Will this daily quest only be around during Phase 1?
*rubs hands gleefully*

no it will be around forever.

Our server, Kargath, hit phase 2 tonight around 11:30pm EST.
3 new dailies from what I've seen.
1 Bombing Run.
1 Kill mobs on IoQD
1 that sends you to Shatt then to BeM to capture Mana Cells on Bash'irs Landing.

Just a quick note. Group credit works with the party objectives.
Icecrown hit phase-2. I'd guess some time around 10pm PST?

You should recheck your rewards I just did this quest and got 10g from it not bad since I didn't have to spend any money on the flight out there

I was having some trouble with this one. I put on the goggles after entering the Spirit Fields and got the buff. I would land right next to the disturbances and do the scan. The scan would run but I didn't get quest credit for it.

The same thing happened to me
and it pissed me off
so I went to kara
Fix Pl0x

My mom had the same problem (I did not). Worked fine when she dropped the quest and picked it up again.

This is the only ShSun daily I've done, and I love it. Took no more than a minute after I realized I needed to put on the Goggles AFTER getting to the spirit fields.
And I got a Badge on my first run.

It'd nice if this and the Sunfury Plans were in different locations or something each day. For something so easy to accomplish it'd be nice for a little variety.

Thanks Blizzard, for yet another quest that encourages ninja looting (or what amounts to it). On busy servers like mine, this quest is very simple: Do you have an Epic flyer? No? Then you won't be able to complete this quest because you'll always be beaten to the spawn.
The Picking Up Mana Cells quest is the same; anyone with a bubble or speed buff will beat others to the mana cells.

I should have added: Unless you play at stupid-o-clock in the morning when more sensible people are in bed...
