Where's the badge vendor, and other IoQD questions
It is now day two of patch 2.4, and the madness is still well underway. The Isle of Quel'Denas is swarming with aggressive players (most of them seem to be mages for some reason) racing each other to the Wretched and the Sentries, not to mention people desperately seeking tanks, healers, and CC for MrT runs. (Alright, not many people are calling it MrT yet, but we're trying to make it happen.) And the Shattered Sun Offensive is progressing; my server is now 59% of the way through phase one. What's all this about phases, you ask? Well, as people do the daily quests on IoQD, the Shattered Sun Offensive begins to retake the island building-by-building, in four phases. When that percentage progress (which you can see on your own server by talking to the NPCs who give the daily quests) goes up to 100%, we enter phase two, unlocking a trade supplies vendor and more quests. Repair vendors and the coveted badge vendors (and T4 -> PvP vendors) are not available until phase three, which Vaneras estimates should take a month or so to get to. This phase also brings ammo vendors, and still more quests.
And phase four will supply the island with a proper inn, complete with mailbox, and reagent vendors, as well as even more quests. So: there is no repair, ammo, or reagent vendor, no badge vendor, no inn, and no mailbox -- yet. If you want to hasten their coming, bring in any level 70 characters you might have and do the daily quests that are currently available. Oh, and the portal for that one quest is at 48,44 or so. I have now dealt with 95% of the questions I see in IoQD General (ah, memories of Hellfire Peninsula in the first week of BC).

Hey, I'm doing my part for MrT on Argent Dawn!
Problem is I asked my guildies if they wanted to 'do MrT' after raid, and that ended in a discussion that was best left unsaid, frankly.

I wouldn't want to do Mr. T either, but then again, I'm not interested in men.
Xeren Mar 26th 2008 3:52PM
I'm not interested in men either, but i still want to do Mr. T. Come on!
peaglemancer Mar 26th 2008 4:12PM
I pity the fool that wants to "do" Mr.T
Bravo Mar 26th 2008 3:23PM
I'm pretty sure the people who are asking the questions have never visited this website and aren't reading this article

It's called Google.
Yeng Mar 26th 2008 3:32PM
How have you determined what percentage you are though the phase?
Arabelli Mar 26th 2008 3:33PM
I think it's the lady standing next to the Quartermaster who will tell you the progress. My server is almost at 80%, so this is sort of like the altoholic's time to shine!

You left out a question that was asked incessantly yesterday. Where is the Sunwell? And, how do I get there?
Brendan Mar 26th 2008 3:36PM
Where is the first aid trainer?
(Sorry. You mentioned Hellfire and I couldn't resist.)
Milktub Mar 26th 2008 3:39PM
Way to spread MrT! I won't respond any other way.
I really like the feeling of "newness". By the time I started playing, everything on my server was done. AQ was open, Naxx had been raided, strategies and maps and coordinates were already known for everything.
Then I get summoned to MrT within a couple minutes of logging in. I was lost. I go inside the instance. Lost. Oh, and with absolutely no clue on how to deal with the mobs. Who would've guessed that the blood knights were healers while the physicians poisoned you? The awesomeness of dealing with a NEW thing makes this the best patch since TBC.

Oh wow, you just made my guild so happy. You have no idea.
Junipero Mar 26th 2008 3:40PM

Xeren Mar 26th 2008 3:53PM
Oh please please please let jokes about doing Mr. T replace chuck norris forever!
Gabe Mar 26th 2008 4:00PM
Mr T. has to take off his chest piece when tanking Chuck Norris in order to generate any pity at all.
Oldbear Mar 26th 2008 4:31PM
LMAO - How about a contest from Insider to support this idea?
Huenninjarin Mar 26th 2008 6:37PM
ROFL, seriously, you gave me a good 30 second laugh with that one!
Zali Mar 26th 2008 4:13PM
Oh come on. Lets really push the envelope. Instead of calling it MrT, lets just call it NEM. "LF Tank for Night Elf Mohawk run. Have healer and DPS."
Arabelli Mar 26th 2008 4:15PM
... that'd clearly be far too much Win, and the servers would fail. I'm not sure I want that on my conscience.
ScytheNoire Mar 26th 2008 11:43PM
I've heard a number of people calling it MrT on Medivh
