"rep grind for Sporeggar appears to be easier (thanks, Al)"
Did they need to make ti eazier?
really? I mean i'm all for making stuff eazier, but this was already the eaziest rep grind in game.
Armath Mar 28th 2008 12:46AM
The "Now that we're still friends..." quest now requires only 6 enchantresses, instead of 12, for the same 750 rep. Don't know what the other sporeggar rep changes are yet.

Yeah, especially if you were smart enough to do it by grinding on the bog lord things in the cave in southern zangarmarsh before you hit 70 when they still give more reputation per kill.

tiny crimson and tiny emerald whelplings got vocalizations upon click and the item Captured Flame got changed from a white item to a blue.

G'eras (the badge loot vendor) has been moved up to the balcony above where he was before.
Some of the SSO quests around Shatt seem to have unwritten outland quest prerequisites.

The arcane robot wardens in Silvermoon City have a new speaking script to correspond with the new events happening in the city's backyard.

This is silly, but what is up with the human male and female eyes!? They look like they've seen a ghost now... all the time! Easiest to see on character selection screen.
Or maybe I'm just trying to find something... who knows.

Icon of the Silver Cresent and a couple other trinkets had a noise added to them.
And I swear to high heaven, my fireballs are moving slower.

I noticed this too... Was wondering if it was lag. But having tested it in Kara, BGs, PvE mobs and such it's the same thing everywhere. Curious.

I just took a new toon through Pyrewood Village in Silverpine last night, and the mobs there are no longer elite. I don't know when that happened or if it was a patch change, but it must have changed sometime in the last two months.
Blackhorn Mar 28th 2008 10:50AM
Pretty sure that one happened with 2.3 -- all Azerothian "group" quests (read: Elite quests) were toned down to be solo-able. Basically, no more quest elites.. anywhere but outland.
Kinda made things a bit too easy.
David Mar 28th 2008 5:25PM
I haven't checked out Pyrewood since 2.4 came out, but after 2.3 the mobs were still elite there.

The animation of the Infernals at the Prince fight at Karazhan seems to be faster
Mister K Mar 28th 2008 12:14PM
The Fertile Spores quest in Zanger only takes 6 now instead of 10, which is sweet because the drop rate on those was awful

There have been several changes to items made by engineering. I haven't done a thorough checkthrough, but here's what I've noticed -
Gnomish Rocket Boots got a cooldown buff, from 30 minutes to 15. I don't know if their speed boost got adjusted.
Meanwhile, Goblin Rocket Boots seemed to function the same, with their standard 5 minute cooldown. However, FAR LESS mats were in the leftover remains after they exploded. They used to always leave the Black Mageweave Boots, a decent amount of Heavy Leather, and usually a Mithril Tube. This time, the only thing left was one Heavy Leather. This is a especially annoying because it takes a while to get a tailor to make you some new BMB, they are never on AH in my server. I'll probably be sticking to the Gnomish version now.
Finally, Mithril Mechanical Dragonling got hit hard with the nerf bat (haven't checked the other two, Arcanite and standard Mechanical). At first I was excited because the cooldown dropped from 1 hour to 20 minutes. Unfortunately the dragonling itself was greatly weakened. It's level used to be determined by engineering level/5. As a level 53 with 350 engineering, it was pretty amazing to pull out a level 70 for a minute every hour. Now the MMD is stuck at level 50. Sigh.

I think they removed the sound effect for spell critical strikes too.
Faar Mar 28th 2008 3:05PM
There's NEVER been a sound effect for critical strikes - spell or otherwise. You must have been using some kind of plugin (like critline, etc) which you haven't updated yet since the patch.

IfI think this is new- it's new to me..If you inspect someone, then click another person- you are still inspecting- but the new person-- no need to reselect inspect.
