WoW Moviewatch: World of Trailer Park Boys

Trailer Park Boys fame has reached critical mass. Not only is the homegrown, low-budget mockumentary-style taking over the globe in real life, now wowstudios (Joe Ashe) has parodied it in World of Warcraft.
While I thought that he captured the feel of the series in his shots, I do have some complaints. I'm not sure why he showed voices transmitting in WoW, but it appears sloppy. In addition, I don't know if he was attempting focal depth, but the backgrounds just end up looking blurry. Criticism aside, I thought World of Trailer Park Boys was a funny and cute parody.

I watch a fair amount of TV/consider myself connected to whats going on and have never heard of Trailer Park Boys. I'll check it out, but I would not say Trailer Park Boys fame has reached critical mass.

Haha, best Canadian show ever... great movie too... but I agree with the poster, why not use the talking emotes instead of those strange voice symbols??

Then you my friend have been living under a rock..... I haven't heard of the show until i saw the trailer and i.ve been watching it ever since. It's quite funny.

one word to describe this...CRAP! i just wasted 6 minutes of my life. and the poor sap who made that wasted much more than 6 minutes. come on Moo Money, if theres nothing good to blog about, just don't.

Well while all he did was take the audio from a TV show and reproduce it in WoW, at least he's trying something out. We all gotta start somewhere.
And if you haven't seen or heard of trailer park boys, go give it a shot.
Its bloody fantastic.

i don't know what's worse this or the show itself.. In my area only a few people watch this show at all, and not very well liked.. Hell Randy got his head kicked in once at a bar here, which was kinda funny really..
As you can guess, i only live a few hours drive from where they film the show.

Dude, I live near where Trailer Park Boys is filmed. I've met and done acting workshops with John Dunfield, who plays Mr. Lahey (the Forsaken in this movie :P ). It's HUUUGE here, and I'm glad that the TPBs are representing our tiny, south-eastern penninsula of a province this much.

This was actually pretty good. And the blurry bg fits in perfectly with the "homemade" style of filming in the show.
I enjoyed it.

Hey guys Joe Ashe here, creator of World of TPB. Thanks to everyone who commented I really really appreciate feedback. This was a test to see how many people enjoyed it. He used the wow voice trasmit icon because having he characters do /talk over and over looks horrible.
