LOL@ thinking that enchanting is profitable. Hurray for 1000g+ BOE enchanting patterns, a huge cost in the initial lvling of the profession and cheap bastards who tip poorly.

I've found enchanting to be profitable. Of course, I only leveled it as far as I needed to disenchant BC items and sell of the dusts and essences. Paired with the right tailoring recipes, enchanting can be a moneymaking machine.
