I didn't think the Arcane Vortexes were invisible... I almost always see one hanging out by Manaforge Ara, pumping everyone with Mana... it looks like a flashing purplish ball of swirling air, that also has an effect that shows up on the ground that looks like air being sucked up into it...

Arcane Vortexes used to be invisible, seen only with the engineering goggles or detect invisibility. But that was changed a few patches ago.
