New Hero Class revealed: Bard! Also, new Molten Core for the console

I did not think anything could break me away from the Death Knight class. The minute I got my hands on the Wrath of the Lich King beta, I was going to go to the character selection screen, pick Death Knight, and never look back. Sorry Druid, Sorry Hunter. Sorry Warlock. Maybe I'll come back to you when my uber awesome Death Knight is level 80 and I have Frostmourne in my hot little hands.
Blizzard has once again raised the bar. No longer shall I be a Death Knight. Instead, I shall be a Bard. That's right, Blizzard's just announced a new Hero Class, and it's not the Archdruid that was previously rumored.
With such amazing Punk abilities such as Mosh Pit, a group buff that removes movement impairing effects and increases movement speed, useful Indie crowd control abilities such a Tapejam and Shoegazer, and such awesome Metal abilities as Shred, we can expect the Bard class to be an amazing addition to any party as a DPS/CCer. In addition, the innovative Fret Bar looks like it should blow anything the Death Knight Rune system brings out of the water. At last, we can be assured that the Activision-Blizzard merger was a good thing. I'm looking forward to melting the snows of Northrend with my hot, hot axe riffs.
If that's not exciting enough for you, you can also look at Blizzard's new Molten Core console game site, complete with a trailer that lists some of the amazing innovations that should make the console game a worthy addition to the Warcraft pantheon of games in addition to a companion to the World of Warcraft. In fact, I'd have to say that I strongly urge them to copy the "Aggro Every Bears" feature to WoW itself, as it only makes sense. While the only console currently announced for release is the Atari 2600, Blizzard states that they will announce more in the future. I'm going to be praying for a port to my Commodore 64, myself.
Oh, by the way, Happy April Fool's day.

My favourite part on the new Molten Core game page was the concept image of Lucifron vs. how Lucifron would look like in the game. Makes me wonder if all atari games used similar concept arts before putting it into the game.

It reminded me of how old games were marketed!
But those Molten Core concepts are very atmospheric, maybe one day they should revamp it for higher levels. It's a cool (hot?) dungeon!

So we all know it's a joke, and I give them credit they went the extra mile with everything from the molten core video to the screenshots and talents about bard. And the map was just great for MC. But I gotta say I think some music based class would be kind of a interesting twist to put in the game at some point. I have no idea how they would do it but I think it would be different for sure.
