Well I actually did level to 70 on a pvp server with a low pop and it and 3 horde to 1 ally ration as an ally. I know full well the gank fest that occurs and to make it worse after I got to 70, no one wanted to group for anything and I couldn't even get geared for pve. Part of this was no doubt due to the populations size, but though I'm not saying I'd never go back to a pvp server, I find the opportunities are greater on a pve one for pve progression. I still enjoy bg's and pvp but when I choose to. Ganking is what it is and is a fact of life on a pvp server. I'm not saying I never did it, but at the end of the day you have to decide what you want to spend your time doing. I didn't want to spend tons of money on tailoring and invest time in pve content to be ganked in the real world trying to complete pve objective. I didn't want to have to run bg's the first month just to get pvp 70 gear. That being said I have it all now and wear it sometime when questing just b/c of the stamina. My first toon being leveled on a pvp server was probably the wrong choice, lol, and I'm quite happy with my pve server. It's a matter of personal choice. Do what you like, but expect to spend a lot longer doing it on a pvp server.
