Spell hit is #1?Lets say we are talking about the same level 73 and 2k fireballs.at 100 casts hitting is 200 k damagebut since our spell hit is 96% we only get 192k in damageif we max our spell hit rating, to 99% we can get the 198k in damage Now- lets say gearing for that 99% spell hit means we have a low 10% Spell CRIT10% of the time we will get double damage- 10% of 99% means 9.9 times of 2000 ora total of 217.8k damage over 100 castsNow- lets go with 83% spell hit chance (no gear) and 27.05% crit (my own spec)83*100 hits gives me 166k in base damage83*27.07 =22.46 extra casts at 2k each 210936 damage....so, over 100 casts I have lost 6,900 damage, (or 69 DPS a cast) butI've picked up 22.46-9.9 12.56 critical strikes, along with all the assocated bonusesI get for each crit-- in my case *arcane* crits return a great deal to me... so those bonuses hit an amazing 226% more often.

Your post doesn't really make any sense. Correct grammar helps. Complete sentences are awesome. WTF is "22.46-9.9 12.56 critical strikes"?

Spell hit is much cheaper in item budget that spell crit. If you try to trade 4% of spell hit for spell hit you will find that you will only get around 2-2.5% of spell crit.

I don't get it. Are you trying to diss spell hit vs spell crit? If so you still proved that you lost 6900 damage (around 3 fireballs) by not having sufficient spell hit. Not to mention that spell hit also benefits your crits occuring more often too.You lost me at "I get for each crit-- in my case *arcane* crits return a great deal to me...so those bonuses hit an amazing 226% more often."Also, it's important to note that there's a very very reachable hit cap, unlike crit. And as Aigarus said hit rating budget is way cheaper than crit as well.I'm still confused on whether to complain at your whining or to support your evidence...

At first, you made sense, in the middle, you started doing unnessecary (I'm aware I spelled that wrong) things, and at the end, you started to blurt random numbers. There's a lot of ways you can simplify this without reducing calculation accuracy.
