The gear you'll never delete

We all have pieces of gear that we don't want to do away with. For me, it's mainly my Quel'Serrar sword – thousands of gold spent on it pre-bc makes it (adjusted for inflation) the most expensive item I've ever purchased. I'm never going to be getting rid of it.
I know that others have the same sentiments. For instance pictured above is the hat of one of my good friends in game. She's had those moose antlers for about 2 ½ years from Onyxia. I know that she'll never get rid of them, and if she did... well, our guild would probably have to gdisband.
There's something nostalgic about keeping around old gear. It provides a memory of "the good old days" when hitting 60 actually meant something. Those old pieces of gear meant that you had accomplished something epic when epics weren't free. Our old epic pieces of gear are a testament to a time when the game was still new and the wilds of Azeroth were really wild.
I might be waxing a bit too philosophical here, but for some reason I still like to look at old screenshots of my characters and muse about the times we had. A piece or two of the gear only brings back those memories, and only good things. And that gear will never be going away.
What pieces of gear are you keeping around forever and ever?

I have a lvl 60 gnome warlock that I have not touched since BC came out. She was my first 60 and I have to much love for her to ever change her.

i still have my stuff from the linken quest in un'goro...after all the time it took to get those equips i'm never getting rid of em.

I'm never going to delete Morgraine's Might. I got that mace at 39, and must have used it well into my 50s, just because it looked so darn cool. And I'm always going to have my Cenarion Leggings too, my first epic (and one of only two I actually got pre-BC). I loved walking around and telling people I had 'epic pants'.

Salad shoulders (druid T1) and the DM trinket. My epic gray kodo. That stupid three year old fruitcake.

my robes of insight ~.^

For me, it's my Sonic Spear. I ran Slabs quite a bit aiming for that thing, and it lasted me until I got my Legacy axe in Kara.
I still keep it around to RP with, because I'm on an RP server and looks matter.

Light of Elune
I keep it on me for that one moment where it could save the day. Never come across anything in the game that actually qualifies though :D

I doubt I will ever ditch my http://wowhead.com/?item=14246 . Though I now realize it was probably the stupidest thing I did during my entire time in Azeroth, when I got that hat I decided it looked so much cooler than anything else I had available to me, so I kept it until I hit 60 and didnt get rid of it until TBC came out after spending 2 months at 60 with it. The weirdest thing is during those 2 months I ended up in a raiding guild and doing a bit of Molten Core and not once did any of my guildies ask me what the hell I was doing running a raid with a level 39 green hat.
I also remember right when BC came out I was finishing reading Dune, so I was ecstatic when I saw one of the quest rewards I got for an early hellfire quest was http://www.wowwiki.com/Revered_Mother%27s_Crysknife . So thats been taking up bag room since then.

I hope it was "of the wolf"

On my Paladin, Judgement set and Ashkandi. Will never DE or Vendor them.
On my warrior, my QS.
Svimd Apr 6th 2008 2:41AM
My first char is a priest, recently respecced to Shadow so I can level her. I was tossing out her healing gear and came across Arugal's Robes. For some reason, I could not sell those, but I had no problems selling her Prophecy set off to the vendors.

Benediction. I worked hard to get it, and i still LOVE the concept of a quested weapon that shifts to match your spec.
ED_Jorus Apr 6th 2008 2:59AM
I never made it into a raiding guild before TBC, but I still have all my tier 0/0.5 gear stored in my bank. I just cant force myself to delete it after the amount of time it took Drakki to drop the chest piece for me!
Sliyde Apr 7th 2008 2:47AM
My hunter epic Rohk bow just due to the fact it was one of the best bows you could have to shot rotation. Sure there where others but very low drop rates for them.
Elizabeth Apr 6th 2008 3:55AM
For me, it's the Robe of the Archmage. After farming so many essences (when they went for ridiculous amounts on the AH), I'd be a fool to let it go.
Jilkon Apr 6th 2008 4:45AM
Anathema, among the best looking weapons in the game and the quest for it also happens to be one of my all-time favorites. A solo quest that actually takes some planning and skill to pull off = good stuff. I'd love to see more similar class quests added to the game, and perhaps making those items upgradeable through different means as the character progresses.
Rez Apr 6th 2008 4:58AM
Beaststalker set on my Hunter. Took me forever to get the pants from Strat UD - and I still think it's a very sexy set - all that gold plating and white fluffy trim :P
enkafiles Apr 6th 2008 4:43AM
Black Dragonscale Armor - it's the first set my hunter wore that really rocked.
Kyen Apr 6th 2008 5:27AM
I'll never delete my epic hunter bow or staff, and never get rid of the raptor mount from ZG.
Zz Apr 6th 2008 5:56AM
I still have my full tier 1 set for my Lock. Molten Core being the first step into raiding and remembering the countless raids equipping everyone to get to the point of killing Ragnaros.
Other than that Benediction/Anathema on my priest is also one item never to be deleted. Just as a reminder for the class quest etc. nd in response to Jilkon, yeah bring back class quests and let us upgrade Anathema to some new epic/legendary staff for use in TBC and WotLK.
