WoW Moviewatch: Assassine
I enjoyed the way that DTB used the sound effects and music intensity to signify that something was going to happen. For a first effort, this is really good! In the constructive feedback department, some commenters on Warcraftmovies felt that the perspective and shadows were off, while others felt that the action scenes were too slow. If those are his worst problems, when he improves upon it in the next film, he'll be golden!

Sometimes the slowness of the action scenes was very irritating but overall it had a really great feel to it

A lot better than the trailer promised, that's for sure. The use of music was exceptional in places, and not so good in others. Certainly something to work on though. The places where it was appropriate, were VERY well done, and often very poweful scenes.
Still, a lot of this could have been done in-game and wouldn't have looked so artificial and at times clunky. Nobody, and I mean nobody, gets the speed right when model-viewing horses, and this is no exception. It doesn't look like it's supposed to be there. While it is very good for a first effort, the author could have done himself a lot of favors by using model/mapviewer only when absolutely necessary, rather than as a matter of course. Yes, some of that stuff needs map/modelviewer, but most of it doesn't, and would have looked better without it.
A good first effort though. It's strength is the sound, and that's something he should work on further improving. Sound is often overlooked, with an attitude of 'let's just find some music from Immediate or Hans Zimmer and hope for the best!'. In this case, the sound, does a fantastic job of telling the story.. most of the time.

Apparently, Hell hath no fury than a sin'dorei woman in perpetual slow motion.
I came away from this thinking that it was better than I thought it was going to be (and I remember commenting that it was going to be lame half-baked crap, so there you go). I also came away wondering what this guy could do with something approximating an actual story. Here, there's just not enough, at least not enough to believe that this woman as the elite assassin she turns out to be--even with the "one year later" tag hand-waving the obligatory training scenes away. Give me a reason to believe in your assassin; don't just slap the "revenge" tag on her and expect me to root for her just because she kills stuff in extreme slo-mo.
So in other words, it's a good start; now start storytelling.

The Matrix this is not but tries to be. The plot is somewhat predictable ho hum. Some of the scenes though was interesting to look at visually I think they should of went for more of something more fresh other than so many clunky fight scenes.
