If Maiev kills Illidan by herself because the raid dies, the corpse despawns but as far as Blizzard is concerned you still won - they'll award you with loot if you send in a ticket. It happened to us on one of our first kills after the tank decided to go for a trap far, far away out of Line of Sight :x
