Name violators may not be ACTIVELY harassing players (though many of them do choose to do so on a regular basis), but its easily a passive form of griefing. That is, they made a conscious decision to roll on an RP realm, and they made a conscious decision to give their toon a name that is clearly against the standards of acceptability- regardless of what "policy" theyre in violation of. They know the name is unacceptable, but they choose to do it anyways. Whether it be to defy the community or whatever the reason may be they are a disruption, and whether they are an active disruption or a passive one theyre making an actual effort to disrupt another person's playing experience and that should not be tolerated. I know its beating a dead horse, but I just have to ask-honestly why would you come to an RP server if youre not into it? Theres hundreds of non RP servers where you can be as idiotic and simpleminded in your naming as you want. And dont say its an elitist attitude. Being actively involved in strengthening your community doesnt make you an elitist. If anything, youll run into more elitist pvp and dps epeens on non rp servers.
