We get our motivation today from Thongsnapper (nice name) of Gorefiend who asks, if you could have any spell in Warcraft in real life, which one would you have? Hearthstone would be an interesting choice for sure, and Polymorph would make for an interesting life (though its uses might be pretty limited, considering that real life doesn't actually have aggro management), but I think personally I'm going to have to fall back on the old superpower standby: stealth. Moving around unseen just seems too fun to pass up.
Actually, I might second guess that -- in terms of practicality, healing spells might actually be more beneficial to the world. Wave your hands, and any ailments, no matter how big or small, are done away with. I'll have to give this some serious thought. In the meantime, let's hear it: if you could have any spell from the game in real life, which one would you choose?

Succubus: As long as it doesn't steal your soul/manhood (like in the myths)
Soulstone: Never die
Fear: Never have to wait in line/ have people annoy you
Flightform: Fly anywhere you like
Cure poison/disease or Heal: Heal yourself/others
Mind control: never have anybody say against you
Seduce: Never have a crush who doesn't like you back
Portals: Go anywhere you want (No travel expenses) :D

I have a family member sick with cancer at the moment, so the Shaman's Cure Disease spell would be my choice (or any healing power, really). If I had the liberty of being selfish, I'd say stealth would be my second choice.

For serious, though I'd want portal. Think of having 5 ports to major cities (say NYC, Chicago, LA, Miami and London) and being able to set a hearth to a sixth city of your choice. At the drop of a hat you could grab your 40 closest friends and be all "let's hit up the LES for dinner then we can go sit on the beach and drink Margaritas" and all it would cost is a couple of cheap runes?
This would absolutely rule.

Find a major company that has a business presence in a couple of those cities. Then have them pay you an insane amount of money to bring employees and clients to meetings instantly from any of their offices. The money they could save on airfare would be amazing.
And to all the people saying resurrection... I would decline that. If it ever got out that you have that ability you would get constantly whispered IRL by people all over the world wanting you to rez their loved ones. (Potential moneymaker?)
