Breakfast Topic: What piece of Sunwell Badge loot is first on your list?
Proudmoore may have been first, but more and more servers are opening up Smith Hauthaa's inventory by the day. As of 9 PM last night, the total shown on Us.gorgonnash.info was somewhere around 45 servers open, with many more servers less than 5% away. You know what that means: precious, precious items.
My server's had the badge vendor for a few days now, so I have already partaken. I got the Tameless Breeches for my Druid (as shown off on the right). As shameful as it is for me to say, I was still rocking the Heavy Clefthoof, so this was a huge upgrade for me. I even ran a Sethekk Halls heroic later that evening (no Reins of the Raven Lord, alas!) and claimed the Primal Nether for a nice Nethercleft Leg Armor for them, so I pretty much have the ultimate Feral tank pants for non-raiders now. Which is awesome.
As far as my Hunter goes, unfortunately she still has 60 badges left to go until she can get her hands on the Crossbow of Relentless Strikes, but I'm trying to stay strong and not blow the badges I do have on a new ring. 2 weeks of Karazhan and a few heroics on the side, that's my mantra.
What about you? I'm sure you've read up up on all our extensive new badge loot guides and already have a pretty good idea of what you're going to go for. If the vendor is open on your server, what did you buy first? If not, or if you're still saving up those last few badges, what's first on your list?

Gavel of the Naaru Blessing. Drooling at the stats, though is pretty fugly graphically.

Leggings and ring for my dwarf hunter. Skipping the x-bow and hoping barrel blade rifle turns up on the AH :P

I feel so bad for you.
Oh wait, nope, I'm from Jaedenar. See you with my new healing mace in, oh, a month.

Well... the only class you guys haven't covered regarding this stuff is Mage. We seem to have been left out.
Consequently, I am lost and bereft of opionion, being unable to make a choice without your input.
(Equally, my main hasn't hit 70 yet, so I haven't bothered looking myself. If there's a blue robe, I'll have that.)

My mage had 197 badges, so I picked up the Scryer's Blade of Focus (247 spell damage) for 150 badges from Smith Hauthaa. Since I had been using the Curator 2-handed staff before then, I picked up the Flametongue Seal from the Shattrath vendor for 25 badges. With the addition of a Major Spellpower enchant on the dagger (which I hadn't done before since I knew I was going to be upgrading), I increased my spell damage by 152, although I did lose a bit of spell hit.
Now I'm going to try to save up to 100 badges again for the chest piece (Shroud of the Lore'nial) from Smith Hauthaa, since of the three cloth armor pieces she offers (boots, legs, chest), that's the only slot I don't have an epic item in.

I wish I could get that dagger, but with only 56 badges (im stuill not much on kara yet), 'm only aimin for the 100 badge chestpeice.

I have 425 badges saved up. I will be getting exactly 6 new pieces of equipment and 1 epic gem. I couldn't quite tell you which will be first, exactly, however.

Cenarius ftw. I already got 2 pieces of new badge gear a few days ago. I got the armor reduction ring and expertise tanking belt.

I definately need a new chest-piece.
S1 in BT isn't quite what it's supposed to be.
after that it's time for my braces and cloak to see some replacement.

Of course I need another 20 badges, so its a Karathon for me today :) Fortunately, Rexxar is at 98% so I should be able to finish Kara and run right over to get the sword.

Being that I'm still only 60 (5000xp away from 61, though, lol) I haven't been paying attention. Hell, I dunno if Sargeras even has the vendor yet. :P

Was 3 badges short of 150 the day the vendor opened. After we killed the first 2 bosses in the raid that night, I hearthed and picked up this overpowered little goodie. Amazing stats, but rather unimpressive visually. Ah who cares what it looks like, it hits like a truck.

For any guild that was stuck on Vash/Kael and is now working their way through MH/BT the allure of the badge items is quickly eroding. I know for my MT warrior before 2.4 went liveI was stoked for the belt, chest, pants, and ring... now the ring seems to be the only really viable piece and even that's only for my avoidance set.

I spent a solid hour agonizing over my choices and what order to get them in.
Nethergon Band, Shroud of the Lore'nethal, Boots of Incantations, and Scryer's Spell Blade.
Then I realized something... I have 174 spell hit right now. If I buy the Nethergone band, I will at exactly 202 hit. So I realized that I should get that first. Then I'll save up 175 badges, and get the Boots and the DEMONSOUL robes at the same time. Socketing the Demonsoul Robes w/ a Great Dawnstone adn the same for the Boots, replacing the crit on my current boots and the hit on the my current robes with crit, and I'll still be hit capped (204 spell hit) with a much better robe for a warlock.
Theorycrafting is such fun.

Staff of the Forest Lord ftw. It's about a 620 AP upgrade from Earthwarden if you're feral specced.
Krick Apr 12th 2008 3:02PM
On my pally, I think my first piece is going to be...
Chestplate of Stoicism
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34939
...since I'm a bit of a block rating whore.
That is unless I can get the chest piece off of Nightbane first. If that happens, I don't know what to get. Possibly the tanking ring...
