Blizzard tells Oceanic realms they're fixing it

Players have, for the most part, provided excellent documentation to Blizzard concerning the stability. They have done so in a massive thread over on the Customer Service Forums, and it is actively being monitored and commented on by Syndri, a Blizzard representative. The thread was started on March 31st, with the issues appearing a couple weeks before that, and is still active today.
The analysis: There is a lot of Blizzard hate going around about this issue. We've received numerous emails on the subject, and taking a look around the internet and the official forums show the same feelings. This is, in my opinion, unfounded.
Blizzard has came out and said that they know the issue is happening, that they're looking into it, isolating it, and attempting to fix it. They're well aware that people are having issues playing the game – and they want to fix that. It's in their best interest as a business, and as good people (the folks working there are good people, remember). However the acknowledgement by Blizzard doesn't seem to stop a horde of people from saying they're being ignored: they're not. Syndri even makes an appeal to the masses: "By all means, vent your concerns and experiences herein; that's what this thread is here for. But don't-and I do ask this sincerely-ignore the attention that this matter has truly received."
The often quoted line that the internet is a "series of tubes" isn't that far from the truth. It is a bunch of fiber optic cable strung around the globe, shooting particles of light this way and that way. One of Humanity's greatest technical accomplishments has been getting all these tubes to talk to each other. Every once in a while, something is going to go wrong, and there'll be some miscommunication. This can take a long time to fix; but fixed it will be.
Syndri has come out and said that after 12 days of lag and issues, there is still no fix. They are still working on it. That means that they have a team assigned to diagnose the problems and try to fix them. Syndri even acknowledges the severity of the situation, in that the issues are affecting hundreds of thousands of customers.
I'm interested to hear what some Oceanic customers think of this. And feel free to disagree with me, but I'm pretty happy with Blizzard's response here. They're active, acknowledging the problem, and are attempting to fix it. Besides the actual fix, what more can you ask for?

If we do get local severs has anyone got a answer about what happens to people with Toons on Oceanic and US servers?

I'm playing on Oceanic realm.
Honestly, you guys roughly know whether what you are asking for (new server location, refund, free play time etc.) are possible or not..
Although i believe Blizz (as a whole blizz) does care about the problem (as it's a business that generates their income), after read ing all posts, I have found one fact.. the fact that they seems to have less consideration of Oceanic players and its impact.
I'd say stop QQ and make your own choice.. take it or leave it.. If you are not happy then just quit.. you think those blue posters (as individual blizz) will really give a cheese?
if you decide not to quit then bear with it.. it will be fix one day.. but no ETA though..

Good customer service dictates that you give good communication. Saying we are aware and we are looking at it does not qualify. Within 5 hrs of a issue being found some sort of ETR should be available along with updates.
So much of the time WoW treats it's clients as though none of them are older than 15.

Ok so Blizzard have admitted there is an issue and are trying to fix. That's fine. Server location hasn't bothered me as the game has been great to play until this issue.
What has me really angry is we are still being billed for servers that are unplayable for RAIDS or PvP. Posts about compensation go unanswered.
With AoC just round the corner Blizzard need to do something fast or as a region we are going to lose players.

The problem is easily fixed.
Move all ocenanic server to a single battlegroup and run the background processes introduced in 2.4 at a more appropriate time.
The latency to the US isn't really an issue, certainly it would be better if the servers were located in Australia, but it does not make the game unplayable. Lag during our peak time due to Blizzard running background updates or whatever does make the game unplayable for a lot of players on a lot of servers.
It is also annoying that we should have to point out to Blizzard what the problem is and how to fix it.

Precisely..
and perhaps, we should consider why we should continue playing this game.. what are we paying them monthly for? Are we begging them for playing? There are a plenty of online games out there.. all in all, WoW is an old game any way..
For me, i'm going to cancel my subscription by the end of this month if the problem isn't fixed by then.. of course, I know nobody gives a cheese but i'm sure if all Oceanic players boycott, somebody will have to give a cheese..
