I play on Jubei'thos. Probably one of the worst (lag wise) servers on the Oceanic side. We face multiple "realm down" times throughout the day, where Jubei'thos is completely offline. Where not only Azeroth, Outland, or the instance servers are down, but the entire realm. And you're considered lucky if you have a

Yeah. I play the majority of my time on Frostmourne and it's shocking.
To the OP of this thread, the reason people are annoyed is that they're scheduling maintenance tasks [there are blue posts about this] during our servers peak time and it is destroying the servers availability.
For the past four nights our server has required our raids to re-clear and re-form because of the accompanied attrition around the restarts & downtime. We have characters entering battlegrounds and instance servers who get left in such a state that you need to contact a GM on an alternate character to get them released. And then there's the hourly lag spikes and world server down messages.
This all happens in the 5-11PM time period so I'm pretty sure you can see why people are annoyed. What set the forums off last night though was that our server crashed literally about once every 10 minutes (Instance/Arena/BG/Realm) and at one point during the night people couldn't log on for about an hour.
If you think the forums are showing some hatred for Blizzard you should join the trade channel during a major server stability issue ;)
