36 US realms down

Starting at least half an hour ago, and continuing through to now, 36 US realms, comprising the battlegroups Rampage and Shadowburn, are down. Blizzard notes that they are "currently unavailable and are being worked on," and that they don't have an ETA right now, but will give us an update around 8:50 AM PDT/11:50 AM EDT. So we should hear more about this in 15 minutes or so, at which point I'll update the post with any new information.The affected realms are: Agamaggan, Alexstrasza, Alleria, Azshara, Baelgun, Balnazzar, Blackhand, Cho'gall, Dark Iron, Destromath, Dethecus, Detheroc, Emerald Dream, Garona, Gorgonnash, Greymane, Gul'dan, Hellscream, Illidan, Kael'thas, Kalecgos, Kirin Tor, Lightninghoof, Maelstrom, Malfurion, Moonrunner, Nazjatar, Ravencrest, Sargeras, Spinebreaker, Staghelm, Stormreaver, Twisting Nether, Ursin, Whisperwind, and Wildhammer.

Update (12 PM): Blizzard provided an update to let us know that they will provide another update at 10 AM PDT, which is in an hour. They're working on it and appreciate our patience.
Update (1 PM): Now they think they've figured out what's wrong, and they're saying the realms should be up by 10:30 PDT/1:30 EDT.

These realms have had problems over the weekend as well. It is becoming quite tiresome to say the least.

This happened to us around last Thursday too... not to mention the random disconnects and morning lag that Illidan puts up with anyway.

Kind of bummed not to see my realm on here..... It's a PvE server - Durotan. While I haven't had the BG issues everyone is seeming to have (I don't do them), the server has had really bad lag, lots and lots of Outlands glitches and bugs, NPCs not being available for a quest turn in?, plus the mini-map doesn't work.
Kind of wish mine was on there....lot's of issues....

Isn't the first time, and it won't be the last. Not sure what it is about our battlegroups, but it's been pretty bad as of late.

I too was having problems with random logoffs and NPC strangeness in Zang on Saturday so I hope they pinpoint the source of the problem and fix it soon. I usually have no connection issues so it was surprising.
Oh, and I blame Hood.

Verizon is having a big network issue right now. Our company is having a lot of outages as well. Not sure if it is the same issue that is causing it but it is possible.

This constant downtime is really getting to me, all these realms were down on Saturday for a period of time too. Unfortunately for me I seem to have most of my characters on the same battlegroup, I'm not sure how exactly that happened but now I'm really annoyed when they go down.
The only silver lining is that I'm at work so at least I'm not sitting at home frustrated as I can't play now anyways.

I had lag on Baelgun almost the entire weekend. I'm glad I didn't skip work today... =/

Whisperwind's lag was in the 3-5000 range on Saturday afternoon before finally crashing for a while. Sunday had some brief periods of high lag, but not as bad as Saturday's
Hopefully whatever they're doing will fix this

I had lag Saturday on Baelgun until they did the rolling restarts. After wards I was fine.
There was a rumor going around that there was a memory leak internal that hit once 2.4 went in. So I'm actually wondering if there's any truth to that now.

My server, Garona, also had this problem over the weekend. Almost all Saturday the server and many others, were down. Not good, rather annoying. Come on Blizz!

They have posted that they will be missing the 1:30pm EST deadline. They say they will be giving more information around 2:00pm EST.

Dam i just log off 5 min , never see if server send general message for shutdown or server brutaly shutdown
