World of WarCrafts: WoW coasters
Need a place to park your frosty beverage? What these coasters lack in functionality, they make up for in style. In my step-by-step instructions, I've included a guide to help you create the coasters that will surely be the talk of the table at your next dinner party.
Here is what you will need:
- Perler Beads
- Peg Board
- Ironing Paper
- Iron

Eh, an old CD works well enough.
Though these things do remind of the old Hama beads I use to play with. They worked with pretty much the same concept.

I'm wondering how complicated it would be to make other icons using this technique. How did you create the design on paper?

I'm trying it out in MSpaint... make sure you View > zoom > Large size and make a 20x20 pixel icon.
It's not terribly easy and a lot of icons seem too detailed to be transferred to 20x20 with only 5 or 6 colors.

I'm all for the covering of asses, but really, "If you are under 18, please make sure that you are supervised by your parents or an adult."
I can imagine it. A dude comes home, all excited, sporting a FULL BEARD AND 'STACHE, and in a deep, gravelly voice says "Mommy, I just read WoW Insider, and I jumped in the car and drove home from my summer job.. because I need your permission to slap some beads together for a coaster to set my beer on."
18 is a bit much. Was that a random number or is there some liability law or something I missed? How about 13? 15? How about no disclaimer?

I have a grid that I use to map out the bead locations. I do it all by eye.. I just try to look at the icon and make it as close as possible given the bead colors available. I use a PSD with 401 layers, one for each bead and the grid. It's definitely time consuming. LOL!
I just finished a hearthstone guide. You can view it here:

"DISCLAIMER: If you are under 18, please make sure that you are supervised by your parents or an adult."
Because 14-16 year olds can't handle an iron...

I'm 18 and I still can't use an iron...
