Direct your own L70ETC music video, win great prizes!

Yesterday, the official World of Warcraft website announced a new Blizzard-sponsored contest to accompany Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftain's new song Rogues Do It From Behind.The machinima community will eat this one right up. What do you need to do? Create a music video for L70ETC's new song, which can be downloaded right on the contest page. The video can be no larger than 50 MB and must be recorded in .WMV, .MOV, or .AVI formats. The rewards are pretty swanky, too. Three Grand Prize winners will receive an 8GB iPod Touch, and the five First Place winners will get a G15 Logitech keyboard and a signed copy of the World of Warcraft Battlechest.
Personally, I'm wondering how long they've been sitting on this song. It's a fun song, don't get me wrong, but it's a little outdated. Perdition's Blade? Really? I suppose Netherblade came with The Burning Crusade, but the rest is pretty old school!

I'm sorry. I downloaded the song, played it.
It was horrible.
I would call it 'garage band' or 'high school band' but my high school had bands that could pump something that that contained at least a hint of musical maturity.
I'm all for WoW, love the game, love the art in it, and I have a collection of WoW videos, so I love those too (dembones, Big Blue Dress, Kkir says Goodbye, Jimmy Story, are some of my favorites) but I cannot get past this RANCID unpalatable song.
I'll watch the winning entry, but without the sound playing.

the song is by L70ETC which is made up of blizzard employes not 13 year old fan boys
and the song is supposed to be ironic i.e. funny hence a bunch of horde and undead singing a death metal song

Glad you posted.
First off, I was calling Nekudotayim a 13 year old fanboy, not the blizzard band. However, they are much better at creating video games than they are music, because the song really does happen to suck, and it sucks bad.
And let's not get off topic, either. I don't care if its undead doing (really bad) death metal or furlbogs banging on trash can lids doing really bad zydeco. The point is that the music is frickin horrible.

I think I'm gonna participate (time and HD space are my only restrictions).
But I gotta agree, the song sounds indeed a bit garageish/demoish and not in the good way. I got nothing against (eighties) metal, quite the opposite really. Musically this feels like a step down from "I am Murloc".
Nevertheless, I'll try to come up with something featuring that one bad ass gnome roguette.

Considering ETC is a bunch of Blizz employees (including Mike Morhaime and Samwise) I think they should sound like a garage band... that's what they are, they play together for fun... so, I can live with 'garage band'.
I would like to see an Alliance based band though..
