Breakfast Topic: The best time to play
What's your favorite time of the week to get some good WoW gaming in?It used to be that I really enjoyed playing on the evenings weeknights -- I'd rush home from work to sign into Azeroth and enjoy the primtime evening crowds. Then, I started raiding, and I looked forward to raid nights every week -- usually Tuesday and Sunday. Nowadays, I'm mostly soloing my way through daily quests and new content, and strangely enough, I enjoy logging on early on weekend mornings. I start around 8am on Saturdays and Sundays, and then play through until 1 or 2 in the afternoon.
Of course, those aren't the only times I play -- I like signing in whenever I have a chance, either to level up or run a group with a few friends. But I really enjoy playing on weekend mornings, with my coffee and maybe a DVD on in the background. What's your favorite time of the week to play?

When I should be at work! Workday WoW is extra-delicious, although it does chew up valuable annual leave (unless you pull a sicky).

The worst is having a day off on a Tuesday, though. So many snow days, (I'm a teacher), this past season were smack in the middle of scheduled maintenance. That is such a bummer. Even my non-gaming wife started getting disappointed for me if I had a cancellation on a Tuesday.

I really love playing on Saturday night through sunday mornings and then sleeping all day.
it make me feel good

Haha, I did that this weekend. It really is fantastic. There is something absolutely amazing about staying up with no consequences Saturday night, and just exploring Azeroth.
Of course, my "sleep schedule" never really "recovers"

I love doing all my dailies and such after raid time (11 pm server). Everyone else is doing their 9 - 5 thing, and sometimes if the night owls are on in the guild, we can play through until 8, 9 in the morning. Gotta love sporadic retail hours!

You mean there are times when people don't play???
For me, it depends on what I am planning on doing. Daily trips to QQ Island are great if I do them at 3:00 AM. Nice and quiet. No ganking allowed. If you are there during prime evening hours it is just a blinking hassle. Mostly because I can never get guildies to put as much effort into being capitalists. I actually did 25 dailys on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend. I didn't think it was actually possible. HAHA
Pre 2.4 dailys aren't technically deserted, but they have a much smaller following of dedicated players, so I do those after work in the evening. Since 2.4 the Skettis Escort has actually been one of the easiest dailys around. I haven't had to fight anyone for a turn at him, haven't been ganked once, and haven't had to group a single time for it since 2.4 hit store shelves.
Raiding... well that you just have to do when everyone is there. Can't really pick a time for that.
I prefer playing my lowbie alts during the busiest times. All the 70's are ganking each other at the Sunwell or are Raiding somewhere, but there are enough lowbies running around to get a group together for some quests of a trip to BFD or RFK.
I guess I like to be just a little social, not a lot social. Avoid the crowds seems to be my motto.

Best time to play - when you have nothing better to do, like when outside is a gloomy rainy weather or icy cold.
RL should be 1st, WoW second. After a while of neglecting RL to get tier and drops, and after some guild drama that ended my raiding experience with that guild, I found out how useles everything is unless you are doing it for fun and with people that matter to you in RL too, not only in game.
Never forget about your RL

Definitely around 1am to 4am on weekdays, when all the kids have gone to bed. Although yeah, I gotta agree with you about Saturday mornings with a coffee - although that's usually when I play the auction house game, rather than run around trying to level :)

I like to play whlie the server in on night mode, but I live in Miami (EST) so it is not that easy.

I find 11 - 3 am to be perfect for me. Insomnia ftw. I log on other times as well, but that is the most consistent time I can log on, whether or not I do. Also, Tuesdays are evil as I don't start work those days until 2 central, so if its a maintinence Tuesday, grr. Also, by the time I get done on any day, every guild I personally know has finished their raids. Maybe I should just start a

Saturday Mornings. If I haven't done my daily H Mech run the night before, I'll hit that before heroics reset, then run it again after the reset.
Otherwise, seems like a good time to go catch some furious crawdad.

around 8am on Sunday morning. It's quiet in the game, out of the game....it's just nice.

I want to add in also on the RL bit. Insomniatic as I am (or perhaps I just don't need as much sleep, I am rarely tired) there isn't much to do 11-3. Friends and family are more important.

I'd have to say anytime I'm online is best time to play. If its evening its easy to get groups going. If its night I like to fight in BGs against those nosleep geared out enemies. If its morning, its good time for farming or dailys. I manage to play no more than 2-4 hours a day, so any time I'm online - I try to make the most of it.

I'm not sure I have a preferance... it depends on what I am doing or trying to accomplish. Low drop rates... I save it for a Monday or Tuesday evening around dinner time when no one is going to be in the area.
If I want some prime time traffic and socialization and better chance to grab a group to run an instance I do it Thursday or Friday night.
Nothing beats Saturday evening through Sunday morning for entertainment value (all the loonies come out like the full moon is going out of style).
And Sunday is a great day to chill with my buddies and play with my special partner (who is also my best friend), who has been leveling a new toon with me since I first started.

Very very late at night/the wee hours of the morning for soloing. If I want to do dungeons I go on in the evening and midday, the late night dungeon groups tend to go badly.

Saturday and Sunday mornings are also my favorite time to play. And since my server is two time zones behind me, I usually end up doing my SSO dailies relatively competition-free.
