New TCG wallpaper featuring Human Paladin

You guys already know how I feel about Paladins, but if all Pallys looked this badass, I might have to change my opinion. This is Graccus, the anti-hero Paladin featured in the latest TCG wallpaper released officially by Blizzard.
See, most Paladins are just shiny golden boys, wandering around the land trying to do good and "win for the Light" or whatever. But this Graccus guy looks like he's seen a lot of dark in his day, and he's spent way too long slaying undead rather than prancing around on his little Pally pony. This guy doesn't bubble, he breaks out the Righteous Fury. This is the kind of Paladin I might really like -- he's not holier-than-thou, he's just a holy warrior willing to get his hands dirty.

I don't buy WoW TCG product all that often, but my first purchase had this guy in it. He's practically a clone of my main (Prot spec, mining/blacksmithing).
I don't see why you call him an anti-hero, though.

Because you like stats but want to take enough damage to keep the healer from falling asleep?
Seriously, most 5-man non-heroic content on my pally requires me to scale my gear down horribly just to take enough damage to keep my mana going.
I will sit while tanking, just to eat the auto-crit.

Human and dwarf Paladins are just about the only non-emo race/class combination in the game.

Seriously, Schramm, you don't know a thing about paladins, so stop trying to think you do.
Remember Tirion Fordring? He lost everything for his ideals. Along with the Ashbringer and Uther. Those guys were still paladins in the face of betrayal, disenfranchisement, and much more.
Paladins, by virtue of their calling, are meant for them to be facing the darkness, because if they don't, who will? Certainly no bloodthirsty warrior, deceitful rogue, cowardly hunter, ignorant druid or shaman, egotistical priest, mage, or warlock, would be the type that would stand against the darkness for the sake of others or inspire the hearts of their kinsmen to courage in the face of certain doom.
Paladin's armor is supposed to be dirty.
Ranting aside, whatever gave you the impression that he was an anti-hero? Looks like he's in the Ashbringer's 'School of How to Pwn the Undead in five easy lessons'.
The text on the card says, "The greatest battles are won not by strength of arm, but strength of will." and what does the card do? "Prevent the next 3 damage that would be dealt to target hero or ally this turn."
Sounds like a paladin to me. Don't know what you're thinking.

I believe you mean "Better tank than paladin warrior, cowardly rogue, better dps than paladin hunter, imba druid, need buffs please shaman, egotistical imba mage, or egotistical imba warlock and perfectly fine priest." O btw LOLZ YOUR ARMOR IS PURPLEZ.

What is it with WoWinsider and paladins? WTF? Did one of them gank Hogger when you where just starting out, causing you to miss out on getting the quest done, and you guys have just never gotten over it?

Oh it's nothing. Stop crying. Schramm's one of those guys who digs on McFarlane toys cause he thinks gore and pathos is still cool. If he can't parse the how brutal the Holy Crusades were, or how to RP as a zealot with the powers of a valkyrie, it's his loss.
But seriously Schramm. Put the shaman down for a bit and get thee to Northshire. Blast through Deadmines using your face as a shield while 2H tanking, and come back in a month after you're 5/5 Righteous and madly in love with Shattered Halls and Darkmoon Card: Vengeance.

Samuel L. Jackson is more than a jedi, he's also a Ret Pally who respecs to Holy. It's the things that make you go hmm.

As much as I love my paladin tank, the hybrid class called the Paladin we get to play is not nearly as cool as the badass Knights of the Silver Hand of Warcraft Lore.
So sad.

from an artistic standpoint. the pic kinda inst up to par compared to most other TCG wallpapers rather bland
