First off--thanks, David. I've read nearly, if not, every role-playing post you wrote. This is just the one that cemented my decision, so this is where I'm writing this. And I'll have you know that I fought with Firefox to let me write this, but ended up having to fire up Internet Explorer, solely so I could write this post. ;)This entry in your series, as I mentioned, was the catalyst for me. I've been toying with the idea of heading to a role-play server for a while now, mainly since stumbling on your series, but this post was what made me finally take the plunge.I'd been wary, don't get me wrong. Trolling through idiots who can't grasp that they're on a role-play server, on top of trying to dig for role-players, then trying to see if I could mesh with them? Eh.Boy oh boy, did I luck out. I created Ellesaria (look me up sometime!) on the Silver Hand server, and the first person I randomly went up with and asked if they were new to the Abbey also, I ended up playing with non-stop until we had to leave to tend to various real-life commitments. That little bit of time spent was, easily, the most fun I've ever had in the game, period. Thanks, David. Keep on churnin' them out. I don't agree with all, sometimes even most, points in a given entry, but I love the spirit of the series, and damn it all of that spirit hadn't gotten me a fun-as-heck evening I'll remember for a while.Thank you, David.
