Breakfast Topic: Real Azrothean Heroes
Alex Ziebart and Elizabeth Wachowski do an excellent job of filling us in on the stories behind our World of Warcraft adventures in the regular Know Your Lore columns. I had very little experience with the real time strategy games that led to our beloved MMORPG. I find that learning the lore gives a bit more meaning to my level grinding.
As I've leveled up I've come across some really interesting NPCs, some more famous than others. I'd like to take some time to look at some of the lesser known heroes of Azeroth. Caregiver Inaara has to be the hardest working character in the game. Stationed as the Innkeper of Sun's Reach Harbor on the Isle of Quel'Danas. Reportedly an excellent companion, Inaara serves up cold brews to thousands of thirsty characters, tired from endless daily quests. Even as a newcomer to Azeroth, we know little about this blue beauty, except that she is a surviver and serves her patrons with an unflinching smile.
Sure there are famous folks like Jaina Proudmoore and Rexxar, but let's take some time to salute the little people. Who's you're hero?

Daphne Stilwell. She'll run inside to get her gun to defend her land...even though I have to tank for her.

I agree, Daphne has always been one of my favourites. On a cold rainy night in Westfall, you can count on her keeping her hearthfire lit.

NPC - Elsharin - the only highelf (mage) trainer for the Alliance. She's in the Mage Tower in Stormwind :)
I like unique NPCs. I also like Cro Threadsong and his little war with the fruit vendor!

Myra Turngarde, the bread seller in Ironforge is my hero. She's always around to sell stuff to once I weed out auctionable items, and has tasty bread besides!

@censorman, /agree
How is this guy considered a Hero? I runs into Org and starts getting his @$$ handed to him, so he bubbles and runs. That's heroic???

"Who's you're hero?"
Anyone who doesn't make this particular typo. You meant your. :)
Also, anyone who spells rogue correctly, rather than misspelling it as rouge.
Okay, okay, I'll stop.
Marshall Windsor is my favorite NPC. Hearing someone escorting him through Stormwind always chokes me up a little.

I always wanted to see a different video for the Imogen Heap version of this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fnvn6G24LA).
If I had movie making skills, I'd try but -
Instead of the Hero comming to save the girl, have the girl need a Hero to kill? I'd think a Forsaken rogue would work best, maybe have PVP shots of the Heroes she kills?
"Superman to sweep her off her feet" could be the player who actually drops her.

My favorite is Lylandor. WSG Battlemaster in Shattrah. The only male Sentinel I've seen.
