It's maintenance time

If you're like a lot of people, including at least one WoW Insider blogger, you will probably be taking advantage of the downtime to get comfy with a little Grand Theft Auto IV (or, if you're weird, you'll just be waiting for the new Iron Man game or something). But if you're stuck at work or school, or if you haven't had the time or pocket money to pick up GTA, may I suggest a little bit of WoW Insider browsing?
While I agree with Adam that it's not likely that 2.4.2 is going live this week, it never hurts to bone up just in case. You can check out the original 2.4.2 patch notes here, as well as some undocumented changes found on the PTR and some new class changes recently added to the notes. You can also check out our analysis of some of the 2.4.2 Hunter changes with articles on Growl, Scare Beast, and more testing of Growl.
For non-patch stuff, try these articles:
- If you've just hit 70 and are looking for a hand up into the pvp scene, check out our guide to the Outland reputation pvp gear.
-
If you have a Horde character on the Zangarmarsh server, make plans to join us at It Came From The Blog's Children's Week event on May 4th.
-
Check out our interview with Antiarc, the creator of the popular Omen threat meter.
Whatever else you do, keep your browser tuned here to WoW Insider all day for all the latest news and views on the World of Warcraft. This goes for you too, GTAers. You're going to have to take a break sometime, so you might as well take it with us, right?

Since when did the phrase "Bone up" become synonymous for preparing one's self for something? I always thought it was a synonym for hanky panky. As in, "I'm going to bone you up," or, "Prepare to get boned up!"

If anybody ever seriously said that to me I'd probably die of laughter before the "boning up" ever had a chance to happen.

How about forever!
I am 27 and "Bone up" has also meant that i am going to study. Now if it says "I am going to bone you" thats what you are talking about.

you said "or, if you're weird, you'll just be waiting for the new Iron Man GAME or something." Did you really mean to say game or should that say MOVIE instead. Cause to my knowledge the movie comes out May 2nd (this week) and not a game. haha

A game is coming out the same day as the movie.

Yeah, what Matt said.
In my defense, you can blame Mike Schramm for that joke, too. Not only is he our fearless leader, he's also a pretty funny guy.

Maintenance time has never really affected me since I'm invariably at work when it happens. Although, if it were a problem GTA IV would probably be my solution too.
You may be asking, "Why are you commenting on WoW Insider if you're at work." Well, that's a good point...
