So from this Flame war I've come to the conclusion that Retadins are not okay with their role as Mana/Health/DPS batteries and not being Top DPSers while doing it....Welcome to Shadow Priest Land. You're utility. Have fun with it. I'm not sure why it would be so hard for a Holy Pally to get in where the Rogues are and swing away... but I guess they just really want to be Preists and like to hang back. Saying "Oh but we'll get hit!" has no place since the Rogues seem to do just fine standing behind the boss and managing placement while doing things. Honestly, the fact that a Pally MUST stand perfectly still to be an effective healer makes me REALLY happy that I am NEVER going Holy with my Pally thanks to already have 2 70 Priests (1 Holy, 1 Shadow) to Heal and Mana Battery with. If you just play to the strength of the class, which is it's Versatility, then you'll probably complain less about how ineffective you are at one particular role.

I bring along rogues for CC, personally. Sap works wonders, and gouge is great for interrupting spellcasting.Sadly, as my girlfriend can attest, I'm one of the few people who seem to realize that rogues ARE CC/DPS, just like hunters , mages, and locks.
