Anyone remember when Judgements weren't refreshed at all?
Remember when Judgments lasted for 10 seconds and couldn't be refreshed with melee? Yea, that sucked ass.
For how long has Crusader Strike refreshed Seals?Just how freaking easy should this game get?
Crusader Strike has always refreshed Seals. When patch 2.0.1 came out it worked fine, but around 2.0.3 CS was 10 seconds and couldn't effectively refresh Judgments.
You don't need to bring a retnoob for refreshing Judgements. Of course it's "nice" to have Light and Wisdom up on the mob every second - but it's totally alright if that's only 90%. And yes you can do so as a holy paladin, except on the most Melee-unfriendly fights.
Usually when I hear this it's coming from a Holy Paladin stuck in Kara. Can a Holy Paladin refresh a Judgment? Sure they can.Is it a stupid idea. Sure it is. As a healer you don't have a moment that you can do anything else in a raid. You spam heals and nothing more. If you refresh the Judgment from reapplying it then it's not mana efficient. Seal + Judgment = ~350 manaIf you refreshed it every 20 seconds then that's ~350 * 3 = 1050 mana per minute. In a 10 minute fight that's 10,500 mana lost. The only dungeon that a Holy Paladin could pull this off is Kara, and that's because it's such a bullshit of a dungeon. Maybe Gruul's and Mag, depending on your guilds progression.
For me it is the difference between being a Healbot and a Holy-Paladin - if I have a Paladin in my raid that has high stats in healing but doesn't use Seals (or Lay on Hands, another one of the often-not-used spells) I could cry.
To be an effective healer that's what you gotta do. Minus not using Lay on Hands. Being a Healbot or a cleanse bot is what moves progression. The moment you try to be something more is when the tank dies. Ever Holy Paladin swears they're something more then a heal bot. Those are the ones that suck at healing. The ones that know they're a heal bot end up quiting WoW. Those Paladins are easy come, easy go. Thankfully, lots of Healing mail and plate drops for new recruits. Too bad half of them turn their dps alts into mains. In those situations my guild asks me to go Holy for a raid. They know that I was one of the best healers, but dammit I hate being Holy. Irritates my Paladin balls. BTW we always bring 2 ret Paladins into the raid. So I can afford to go Holy, but normally we have 2 Ret Paladins and at least 1 Prot Paladin. We rarely need our Holy Paladins to put down a Judgment.
