WoW Moviewatch: Tunasushi

In Olibith's world, oversharing is a three course meal, with Tunasushi as the main dish. He serves it up with sides of romance, revenge, and silly interpretations of the Japanese language. When assembled, it makes for an interesting, if a bit perplexing, dining experience.
Artistically, Olibith's latest machinima is beautiful. He employs vibrant colors, custom sets, and even manages to tone down on words that would make your mother blush. I only wish he'd developed the plot a bit more, as it ends too suddenly. Could there be a sequel in the works?

You saw those too??? I asked Baron Soosdon if he saw subliminal messages in the machinima and he said no! I guess I should have polled others. (Or downloaded it, pulled it into an editing program, and scanned the frames.)

I have clearly seen the flashes of subliminal images. One looked like some tentacles, but I'm afraid I can't read the others. I am absolutely sure the movie has them though.

Are you sure? I've noticed some kind of tentacles? Might be hentai. Also I've seen some kind of a.. big, red tongue? or a wicked smile? on 1.55, I can't notice what it is.

The one at 1:55 is an asian female in a red bikini tied in a bondage fashion, the one with tentacles is tentacle-hentai, no revealing parts are shown tho, but it is super-implied, as the tentacles are going' everywhere'.

There is something off-feeling about this. The addition of subliminal images is off, frankly, and I don't think I'll be watching Obilith machinimas again. It's not even the content of the subliminal images, but even the idea that someone would put them in.

If you listen closely, all the speech is made up (I think) of Japanese words that are used in English. Towards the end, when I noticed this, i heard pokemon, mitsubishi, bansai, hentai etc. Nice touch Olibith!

The subliminal images add nothing to the machinima, and quite frankly seem like the additions of a perverted teenager. If you want machinima taken seriously, then this is probably not the best approach.

That was part of the joke. They were all of Asian culture. If you are going to fault him for this, you might as well fault him for the fact that the dialog didn't match the subtitles or the 'japanese text' wasn't really kanji, but just a japanese style font on its side.
The images that were hidden were not any worse than the images and content that were portrayed openly in the film. PG-13 at most.
