Get your Consortium gems!

Lots of stuff is happening on the First of May today (do we really have to remind you that that video is NSFW? consider yourself reminded) -- not only did Children's Week start and the Diablo3.com countdown end, and not only is it a holiday for some Blizzard employees, but if you're Friendly or higher reputation with the Consortium, it's time once more to grab your free back of gems. Unlike last month, we don't have to refer to them as "gem stickers" -- thank God the whole HKO Insider thing only lasted a day.If you've got the rep, just stop by Gezhe at Aeris Landing in Nagrand, and he'll hand you a bag of free gems, quality dependent on reputation level. You'll still need a Jewelcrafter to cut them up, but hey, free gems is free gems.
And rabbit rabbit, by the way. May is here!

Did anyone else get a significantly better sack of gems this month? It could be just a lucky turn of the RNG for me but at Exalted with one and Revered with another character I got MUCH better gems this month.

Its my first time for a Star of Elune and another 40g blue gem and 4 greens, the best I ever got was 3 blues and 3 greens. It an average month.

you can pick up your free gems on the last day of the month if you wanted to.

is quality really dependent upon rep level? for april my priest got a golden draenite, living ruby, and a talasite...she's only lvl 67 and she got them right when she hit friendly

Yes you have a better chance to get rare gems with a higher reputation. Its only a better chance though, you can still get a few rare gems at low rep like you did or no rare gems at higher reps like the person above.
All of the database sites show the better chance at higher rep levels although their actual numbers differ. Thats probably due to the way they each collect and parse the data.

I'm so happy that someone else knows rabbit rabbit! Me and my sister (both well in our twenties) have had a rabbit rabbit contest to tell the other person first since we were small children, and we've always needed to explain to confused friends when they caught us sending strange text messages at 12:05 am on the first. I didn't realize there were others.
