M'uru world first by SK-Gaming
On the fourth day of the second Sunwell Plateau gates being opened there, the European guild SK-Gaming has achieved the world-first kill of M'uru, the fifth SWP boss. Good job, guys! This is all the more surprising because I don't think of SK-Gaming as one of the big-name guilds, but maybe I've just been missing out. Edit: D'oh! That's the guild formerly known as Curse. I knew the name looked familiar. Also, I would sort of have expected the US realms to get there first because their gates opened a day earlier. But on the other hand, Europe has been on top of the world firsts for a while.
You can see the loot above -- click to embiggen. That Shifting Naaru Sliver sounds fun.

Grats to SK! I look forward to watching the incredibly drawn-out intro. to their videos yet again. :)

At least it wasn't Nihilium.
Ametrine May 3rd 2008 10:36PM
Surprising that it wasn't, since they've pretty-much done all the others.

Yeah, if by 'pretty-much done all the others' you mean only 1 out of the first 5 bosses in SWP. Real surprising...

You may be more familiar with SK-Gaming by their previous name, Curse :)

Resilience on a pve ring?
smallpox4u May 3rd 2008 10:32PM
Who says it has to be a PvE ring? It has been done before in SSC on rings so why not now.

The real question is now how they did it but how long they camped out in front of the gate waiting for it to open and making sure that everyone was geared to 99.99% of the raid leader's view of perfection.

Sounds like someone isn't getting the raid time they think they deserve because of questionable gear and/or spec choices.
Kaylek May 15th 2008 12:00PM
@Druid dude
lol, I was thinking the same thing.

I don't get excited by ring/trinket drops. Sure, they're nice ... but they don't glitter and gleam on your toon. When you're strolling through town, people can't see what rings you have on, but they can see when you have a ten-foot long sword that is being encircled by flaming dragons.
But hey, a world first is cool.

Fuckin e-peen stroker go away
Kadathwack May 3rd 2008 11:57PM
I'm more interested in what happens to M'uru after the fight ends.
Abhinav Kumar May 4th 2008 8:25PM
Agreed, i wonder what happens to him. Hopefully he doesn't just die or something lame like that.
peaglemancer May 4th 2008 1:06AM
3 rings and a trinket? What strange loot.
Harlequinné May 4th 2008 1:23AM
Not that surprising, since this is probably just a small sample of the loot table. FLK once dropped 3 Leggings of The Defender...
They probably forgot to sacrifice some gnomes to the Random Number God.
dotorion May 4th 2008 5:52AM
Grats to them !
Zarzuur May 4th 2008 6:54AM
They got world 2nd on the Eredar Twins, so if anyone other than Nihilum was going to get the next 1st in Sunwell, you could well expect them to be SK. Gz to them!!
