Running of da Bulls brings 600 Tauren to Cenarion Circle
BRK says that they made 200 purple shirts, which were apparently gone four hours before the race even started. The 500 person guild they formed filled up quickly, and estimates say that at peak, there were probably about 630 people on for the event, double the number of Horde on there most of the time. The winner of the race, Slokoshka, picked up a game card for their troubles, and then, not content with leaving hoof marks across half of Azeroth, the Tauren decided to raid Ironforge and made quite a mess of things there, too.
Seems like a lot of fun, and it all went for a good cause, too -- not only did everybody /moo for Sharvan, BRK and Ratshag's friend who passed away recently, but they also raised over $500 for Sharvan's family, who we're told also attended the race and were completely touched by how generous the WoW community can be. Very awesome.

It was an amazing and wonderful event. It is so nice to see the WoW community actually care about the Real Lives (and, sadly, lost life) behind the toons.
For Sharvan
Moooooooo....

Very nice event indeed. Go Cenarion Circle!
I read Big Red Kitty and this site daily so I knew what was going on, but most people in my guild were just in awe and confused by the massive amounts of cows invading Ironforge.
'Twas truly a spectacle.

Makes me proud to be a CC'er.
Unfortunately all I got to see of this was the aftermath of the carnage in IF. Free steak for everyone!

I was interest in coming, but was stuck raiding that morning! Bah. That said, awesome to hear that it was a huge success.
BRK is already making note of his next event. He's look at 7.oop EST on 5 July 2008. Don't know what it is, but it hopefully works our for me (I'm planning on moving to my future humble abode JUST before then, bleh!).

Hey guys, here's another video I made of the run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0N1Nuvj4QfI#GU5U2spHI_4
Check out the last part for 400+ tauren vs 1 level 70 paladin.

See, this is the stuff the news should report on.
5 crazy people who lose their lives over WoW, VS over 600 people honoring a deceased person.
Daimon May 5th 2008 2:53PM
excuse my ignorance, who is/was Sharvan?
kunukia May 5th 2008 4:19PM
Sharvan was a young woman who was a founding member of Aetherial Circle on the Drenden server. She passed away in late April, so the 'Running of da Bulls' was in her memory. She had apparently been known for greeting guildies with a cheerful Mooooo, and was well loved by all who knew her.

Frank May 5th 2008 3:18PM

Stormscape May 5th 2008 4:48PM
Oh. So that's why there were dead Tauren all over Ironforge... :)

This is what no wowers will ever know about, they just see us as No-lifers with broken economy and no jobs and zero social lifes.
This should realy be on the tv/newspaper! So all no wowers will see that we care about pepole that we even never met in real life!
Know most of my friends wouldnt care if someone died that they didnt knew.
This did even make me cry irl :)
/MOOO
