Breakfast Topic: Where have you taken your orphan?
Ok, admit it. Dornaa and Salandria are pretty cute. They say the darndest things and they are so tiny and they are like little bundles of irrepressible energy and now I want kids of my own, damn it. But seriously, If you're like me, you've probably kept your orphan whistle a little longer than you had to and took your orphan around a few extra places.
Auchindoun? The Dark Portal? Pff, c'mon kid. I'll show you some real fun. How about Karazhan? That was actually a lot of fun, although fighting Prince Malchezaar was sort of creepy, since Dornaa was staring at me through the whole fight as I stood with my back against the wall, tanking him. She looked sort of accusing. You don't suppose Mal was her dear uncle before the whole Eredar corruption thing, maybe? Unfortunately, I don't think you're allowed to take your orphan into the arenas, but I may have to take her for a tour of scenic Alterac Valley before the whistle disappears.
Seriously, I don't care how awesome Willy is, I just want to adopt Dornaa and keep her forever. She can keep Archmage Vargoth company on all my boss kills.
I know I'm not the only one who's done this. Orphan tours are probably some of the most random fun you can have in World of Warcraft with an annual event, I think. Where have you taken your orphan?

She really dug all the demons.

I took my orphan to see a bird. A big bird named Al'ar. She liked it so much she couldn't bear to see it die. After the tank attacked it, Al'ar did all his usual moves, and yet they didn't hurt any of the raiders. He oddly didn't switch platforms as he seemed entranced by my little orphan girl. So we easily burned him down to 1% which he stayed at..... for 15 minutes. Darn these cute orphans.

Wherever I had to, then I shipped her ass back to the orphanage.

Same here. The greedy little brat. Making me take her all the way to the Caverns of Time to get a toy dragon, sheesh. ;0P

I took mine to see the lair of the pitlord , anoying as she is she aggroed him and me and my 24 friends had to help the poor dear.
She was all excited when Magtheridon was lying there dead and did a little dance around his non excisting body.
Wish i did bring my camera for this occasion but allas , no pictures.
*actually just forgot to put her away and you can't do that during battle , think she almost screwed me with the clicking duty by standing inside the cube ;p

You guys posted about the BE orphan storyline but nothing about the Ally kid...anything interesting?
Angus May 6th 2008 9:07AM
If you are going to accuse them of being pro-horde, then please just do so.
However, it would probably be a good idea to actually have a clue first.
Point 1: Picture is of Dornaa.
Point 2: Both are mentioned.
Point 3: Prince reference and talking about it being her uncle.
Point 4: See point 3? It ain't a Blood Elf reference...
Point 5: Auchindoun is the Ally kid...
I don't get it. This was pretty much an Ally point of view article. They would have had to have said something about taking their orphan to the Sunwell and having her try to leach off M'uru again to be referencing the Horde side.
Feel free to use an internet token to buy a clue. Cause your troll attempt was so dumb it actually made everyone that read it dumber.

Wow, that was ridiculous...I posted that because I play Horde exclusively. There was an article about the BE orphan and the changes to the quest but nothing about the Alliance Outlands quests.
Images from WOW Insider are blocked at my work by our filter.
I'm so glad I don't know you in real life, your attitude seems incredibly toxic.
Angus May 6th 2008 10:42AM
There were no changes to the Alliance quest, why would they even bother covering them. They covered it all with their coverage anyway. I guess since you can't see the images you wouldn't be able to see that though.
I am incredibly toxic. No one likes me.

@Angus
Auchindoun is the Alliance orphan? Really? I thought it was that big multi-instance dungeon in Terrokar that Alex wrote about and Daniel linked to in this article, but I guess I was wrong!
ninjasuperspy May 6th 2008 1:27PM
@Treima
You take the little Blueberry to Auchindoun.
popkin May 6th 2008 8:29AM
I had to bring her into Kara. She wanted to know why Dreanor is now called Outland so I thought showing her an Eredar would tell her all she needs to know. It also proved that pouring water on a high ranking member of the Burning Legion only makes them a damp, wet high ranking member of the Burning Legion.
She also suggested my character should be fat so if something 'accidently' happened I guess an enslaved Eredar would fill in for her. Right?

Eye of the storm, tho she stays on the initial rock, she won't follow you down like other minipets. She's been to AV and AB and wsg too. One eots battle there were several orphans and an image of archmage vargoth helping us defend a node. My only hope is that click targeters may misclick on the minipets (especially with the "shrink" effect off a noggenfogger)instead of on me or my teammates :)
But I think she's headed to the orphanage tonite, I want my mini-beholder....er, I mean sleepy willy, there's no such thing as beholders in wow of course.
Firin May 6th 2008 8:34AM
Actually, you CAN take them into arenas, or you can the Orgrimmar orphan anyway. It was fun to imagine them in wide-eyed wonder as they saw the carnage up close and personal, but it got kinda creepy when they stand there watching your corpse after you die. ;)
argo747 May 6th 2008 8:37AM
Scarlet Monastery 'nuff said.
Yalina May 6th 2008 8:45AM
I took my human orphan to the Altar of Zul in the Hinterlands. He was not amused.
Angus May 6th 2008 9:11AM
My orc orphan discovered that he can't get any closer to me than directly underneath me.
I walked on water and watched him swim there, head submerged, for a few minutes. I jumped so he could catch a breath. The people in Thunder Bluff were amused.
So far he likes SSC. He was a little upset when he was standing on the center island during spouts, but he can get over that.
