Barrens Chat: First posts make me hungry

Greetings fellow travelers of time and space! Welcome to the first official posting of Barrens Chat, a soon to be weekly implement of random craziness. Although I know I'm not the first comic strip, and likely I wont be the last to grace these glorious virtual pages, I invite you to take a romp with me, Megan, as I drag forth those silly comments people make that they hope no one noticed, and glorify them with fancy colors, and ever-changing art.
I will point out that although all of this is will all be incredibly funny to everyone who reads it, including me; it may end up being a "you had to be there" moment. In that case, come back next week! I'm sure it'll be funnier then. No really, it will.

For the first comic strip, I give partial credit to Takkaa from Shu'halo, for it was her first comment of "Hey, this Draenei tastes like marshmallows" that spurred the rest of this conversation between us as we went back and forth with an alliance who made the mistake of camping a shrimp of a guild mate in our guild.

I know it's been said in other posts, but using the default WoW Insider gallery for a webcomic rots. Having to make a couple of clicks to get to the hi-res version of the comic isn't the optimal way to present it to readers, I think.

I just learned that "marshmellows" is actually spelled "marshmallows" (guess I should actually read the package when I buy them, huh). I wonder what other great words I've been misspelling my whole life! The things you learn at WoW Insider!
Funny comic BTW. I look forward to many more. :-)

It was a little Meh for me...I would suggest not giving away the punchline before I have read the strip. It has potential though.
I do really like the art style though.

Um... shouldn't the setting be... oh, I dunno... in The Barrens?! Or are they in that lush, grassy, wooded area in The Barrens... that doesn't exist?
I dunno... It's called Barrens Chat. Just seems to me it should be in The Barrens.

I don't think it was terrible, but I have to agree it was a "miss" for me. I'll give it another shot next time though.
I also agree with the above poster. You shouldn't call it Barrens Chat if it's not in the Barrens.

I don't think it is funny. However, despite that; every time I read it, when that zombie says "marshmallows" it does make me laugh. I'm so confused...

Hey Megan!
Good first strip! Some suggestions though:
- You may want to make the pre-jump image link directly to the high rez version, if you can. When I was running /silly, I completely skipped the gallery system all together for that very reason, but I'm sure there is a middle ground to be found.
- Never give away the punchline in the post or the title! Elude to it, hint at it, hell make a horrible pun off it that causes everyone and their cat to groan in word-play-based agony, but don't ever give it away! :P
Other then those tiny points, I see a lot of potential in your art style (which will evolve surprisingly quick as each week goes by, I assure you) and everything will start to click as you fall in to a rhythm. Im looking forward to seeing where this goes. ^_^
