The progression for 25 and 10 mans are separate. You won't be running Karazhan, SSC/TK, BT, and Sunwell 10 mans just to get to the Karazhan 25 man.

Also, the fight mechanics will be very different. You won't be able to learn the Arthas 25 man fight by doing the 10 man version anymore than Kael'thas the heroic boss is a way to learn Kael'thas the raid boss. Sure, there are a few similarities, but ultimately one is leagues above the other.
