All those people who comment here, claiming to be casual players who want to see Arthas (but rather not raid for real, and prefer pugging for short heroics or farming honor in AV), this is not how games are supposed to work. WoW should be more rewarding towards people who are better players or put more time and effort into playing. Loot itself is not a sifficient reward. Up till now we got a chance to encounter famous lore characters as a reward. Take that away from us and we lose interest. If Blizz wants to treat all the players equally, they're wrong. Their goal should be giving all the players equal opportunity to progress. Right now it seems like their will to please everyone is killing the game.Even you, casual players, need the T6 raiders around you to have something to aspire to.

Wow. Just wow.Considering that the majority of the "T6" players I've ever met have been condescending, elitist, egotistical, or just plain mean because they can be, you'll excuse me if I wish not to "aspire" to your level. What you seem to not realize is, with this announcment, Blizzard IS giving everyone an equal opportunity to progress. An idea like the new raid split gives more choices to the people who play the game. The wonderful thing about choice is: if you don't like it, you don't HAVE to do it!With the current system, if you want to see ANY of the end-game content, you HAVE to be in a 25-person guild and HAVE to deal with everything that comes with it. You have ZERO choice about it. It's that way, or stuck doing dailies/PvP. With the prosed new system, if you want to do 25-person raids you get larger, more difficult and complex fights with better rewards, maybe even fights you can't see in the 10-person. If you want to do a 10-person, it's separate and non-dependent on the 25-person, but with the possibility of not all the fights, but at least likely the content that matters is still intact. For the most part, I could care less about what gear could be in the 25-person raids. I'm pretty much happy with the gear I have now. Oh sure the gear there is nice, and it's always fun to imagine what the toon would be like with all that stuff, but I'm satisfied with how my toons are currently, all I want to see is the story line unfold in front of me. I shouldn't have to dedicate my life to a second job that I pay to work to do that.

Yeah, but you know what? If Blizz loses the hardest-of-the-hardcore to another game/RL/whatever, that means they lose at most 10% of their player base.If they lose the rest of us, WoW goes the way of Auto Assault. Look it up if you don't know.
