Anyone else get the feeling that the expansion is still a long ways away?

A common guess around the WI bullpen is that it'll come out sometime around Q4/Holidays this year.

Yeah, but having zero raid bosses designed yet makes it seem like there is a lot more to do. You'd think it would be faster considering there are no new race starting zones.

I completely agree!
Some of the comments make me think that it is a lot farther away than I thought originally.
I'm also guessing Q4. To me as a PvPer, this means that S4 is still 1-3 months away and will last until the Xpac, so a long long time.

I was just thinking the same thing, like maybe not this year.

I wouldn't worry. Most of the raid content comes after the fact anyway, and they've already got Naxx.
Just take a moment to think about how many raids were patched in after the initial BC release. Plenty of time.

I kind of have the feeling they're only saying this to throw us off the scent, they must have some idea what each boss' look and feel is going to be.

I was thinking that same thing too. But it really could be a ploy to throw off Mythic with Warhammer Online. Also, Blizzard has learned it is better to give estimates that are *way* out there than to disappoint with not meeting a deadline.

I'm sure they've got all of beginning raids laid out and basically planned, and they just haven't decided on which bosses go where and what they'll do. That's really not an exceptional amount of work in the long run.
Kind of like designing a house - you don't need to know which couch goes where to know which room's the living room and what size/color couch you'll want there.

Wow, I failed hard on that last paragraph....
