Blizzard announces BlizzCon 2008!

Ah, BlizzCon 2007! So many fond memories! We had the Wrath of the Lich King announcement, developers answering all of our questions, the latest on the World of Warcraft movie, and (of course) L70ETC! While there doesn't seem to be anything yet on Blizzard's website announcing a BlizzCon 2008, Buisiness Wire has a press release announcing BlizzCon 2008 taking place on October 10th and 11th in good old Anaheim California. We've contacted Blizzard to confirm, but in the meantime we're clearing out calendar and making travel arrangements. We hope to see all of you at BlizzCon!

Sounds like a good idea going there, hm ... It would be just 2 weeks before my university starts classes again and making a trip to the US sounds like a really good idea for this year.

I third on the point of deleting the guys account... What the hell does he even mean? If he's gonna spam, spam good for god sake!

As soon as Blizzard confirms, me and Shoorty (Yes, that's my friends name) are packing our bags, buying plane-tickets and prepping for Blizzcon! ANAHEIM, HERE WE COME! WOOOOHOOOOO!
(Though it takes like... 14-15 hours with plane, still:
WOOOHOOOO!)

See you at Blizzcon! Oooh, I hope I can meet Oxhorn! :O

I called and reserved my room, the hotel employee knew about the 2008 BlizzCon event when I asked about the specials.

Man I really wanted to go to this one finally but I get a better present. Baby born in that month. The GF would kill me if I went lol. Cant wait to here what they are announcing next and look forward to all the great coverage everyone will be putting out. Have fun guys.

Wish I could go, being on the other side of the country doesn't help. With Blizzcon being so late this year, it makes me think there's no way in hell Lich King is coming out this year.

Rember, the invitational is first, i think that it will be there that they will announce Release Date, i wouldnt be suprised if it was around the same time Warhammer Online will be released. I think Blizzcon they might announce Project Hydra?

hotel room book? nope, just needing to walk a block from home to ACC. But will definitely be in attendance this year again... wife and I enjoyed the last one.

I nearly jumped through the roof when I read the date. The family has already made plans to be in Anaheim at a very large amusment park across the street from the convention center, from Oct 9 -15. Guess I am gonna leave them at the park a day or two and visit the convention center.

Assuming they don't announce either the new project or a release date for Wraith at the invitational.

I think Blizcon will be the premier of the new Wraith cinematic intro, the release date which I'm predicting for early 2009 and the announcement of the new project (hopefully Diablo)...... and maybe just maybe a new expansion for Wow but I think it's too early and to close to Wraith expansion and they wouldn't want to steal hype away from it.

My god... This is gonna cost me all my savings and more... 570 £ for airplane
70 £ for the tickets in Blizzcon
200 £ for the Hotel

Me, Shoorty and Fred are going to be broke after this... Meh, Blizzcon is worth it! It's even worth the 16 hour flight

In the annoucement: "Hands-on play time with upcoming Blizzard Entertainment releases"

I hope this does not mean WotLK won't be released until after Blizcon, Oct 10. Hopefully this is a standard inclusion in the announcement even if there are no future releases at Blizcon time.
