Kalgan should have been fired a long long time ago. He has always been blizzards worst developer since day one. Lets us not forget just how badly he messed up the warrior class at release. A tank that couldn’t hold agro. 31-5-15 being the standard tanking spec. The original PvP system. Nothing Kalgan has ever designed has come out well.
Most of WOW's best developers moved onto other games and companies leaving us with the bottom of the barrel like Kalgan to continue the game and we the player have paid for it.
Kevin Beardslee, Mark Kern where are you when we need you? Oh that’s right Red 5 Studios along with the rest of warcrafts best developers. Why couldn't you have taken Kalgan with you and made him a janitor or something?
Yes that’s right my fellow wow players we are stuck in a rut that most great games like warcraft fall into. This was a fantastic game. The best developers on the team became hot commodities. No great developer wants to work on the same title year after year. So they move on. The fantastic development team that made our great game has moved on. What is left are the dregs. The developers who weren't regarded by their peers as being very good at what they do. They get promoted not because of the quality of their work but by attrition as the better developers move on to new companies and new titles.

Actually, this advancement through attrition is pretty common in all aspects of the IT world.
If you are good, the pastures are always greener. If you are average, tenure will get you advanced. If you suck, you end up the lead programmer on the dead end projects. But heaven forbid you be let go, retrained or retasked to something within your skill set.

Question: Is the game fun?
If Yes: /Akil'zon "Stop your cryin'!"
If No: Why are you playing?
That's an over simplification, but topics like these always seem to levy large complaints against the game without ever clarifying why the poster still plays given that their doomsday scenario would logically warrant their swift exit.
Without that subjective insight there isn't much point to the complaint; hence the catchy but similarly pointless "have fun or quit" response.

I’m still playing because Carbine Studios and Red 5 Studios which are the two companies where all the good warcraft developers went haven't released their MMO's yet. Once they do I'm done with Kalgen's crap. They guy is ruining other peoples work.

An on comparison, but the same thing happened to Disney. The best animators that worked on Disney's most popular projects left for greener pastures leaving the older sub-par animators in charge, even when bright new artists were hired (one of which I've heard was Tim Burton) they couldn't get past the older, talentless artists and left, and thats how Disney kept plodding along making crap movies while companies like Dreamworks and Pixar have done amazing work.
I can only hope Blizzard is spared the same fate.
