I got lucky and my raid leader let me bring my freshly minted shaman for kara the other night, simply to get myself geared. I was one of three who were there for loot rather than badges. We prefer to keep to that level, and the new toons we bring in are usually played by people we know we can count on to fulfill their roles even if their gear is lacking a little.
