Lame. The Mage spells and talents all look like things to fix their PvP problems. /sigh

Clearly not the full list. Though I agree, those that were shown are pretty unimaginative.

Your information is correct while the site where you confirmed said information (WotLK Wiki) "could be{sic} updated with false information"?
Where exactly did you get a secondary conformation?
What makes you so sure what you have is real?
Adam Holisky May 20th 2008 1:54PM
Hi Dotixi,
That's a good question. Since confirmation of these and other facts are confirmed through a good bit of real journalism (in my opinion, incoming flames I'm sure) from sources that have asked to remain anonymous, I feel strongly that we should not reveal them.
With that said, you and everyone else can be assured that the WoW Insider staff has very high standards of journalistic integrity when reporting on information like this or other news (and note, news, not editorials / opinions - that's a separate thing that is neither here nor there).
We were asked by Blizzard to take down the information, and out of respect to them we have.
Hopefully that answers your questions (and others that I know people are thinking about).
Best,
Adam.

To Adam: Wihout even blinking you claim to uphold "high standards of journalistic integrity" and then say that the removal of this leaked information was done "out of respect" for Blizzard. Whose errands are you guys running?
Come on. If you want to be best friends with Blizzard and do product information, fine, but then don't go around pretending to be journalists.
Journalism is srs bzns.

Wow "insider" - the only real insider information gets removed!!
C.A. May 20th 2008 1:48PM
You removed it? Why don't you remove this article then? Blast !!
Daimon May 20th 2008 3:15PM
agreed, also a good journalist owes respect to the readiers, don't bite the hand who feeds you (I know blizzard has a strong hand, but what is advertising and publicity without the audience?)

NDA'd!

Previously warriors were a little boring, but the two-handers in one hand will be sweet for sure.

The cries of Matthew Rossi has been heard!!!!

Nick May 20th 2008 1:57PM
You dumbasses thought you could actually publish this stuff?
/pwnd by Blizz TOS.
JPN May 20th 2008 2:03PM
lame
Delano May 20th 2008 2:07PM
Here's some elementary contract law for you, Nick: only parties to an agreement can be bound by it. If this blog is receiving alpha information and publishing it, that means that the person sending it has breached their non-disclosure agreement and the general game terms of service, not the blog, unless one or more of the bloggers is also in the alpha. The NDA and TOS cannot forbid a third party to report news.
The takedown was done to keep on good terms with Blizz' PR department, and nothing more. That said, it was particularly spineless to comply.

While it's true, I think, that we are within our first amendment protection to post the material, people need to look at the bigger picture.
Why would we want to be on bad terms with Blizzard?
Can't we serve you, the public / readership, better by maintaining a good relationship with Blizzard, there by giving us more access to them and their products? Which will be better, a WotLK talent tree we will all see in three months or tons of interviews and coverage at Blizzcon?
We choose the later. Feel free to disagree, however.
C.A. May 20th 2008 5:32PM
@Adam:
Obviously Blizzard doesn't care enough about you guys to include you on the first big media day for WotLK so I don't see why you need to be in their good graces. They already snubbed you all once, plus, you aren't serving your reader. Especially in later articles you guys say, "We won't post it, but we'll link to it". Lame.

"Update: At Blizzard's request, we have removed the information from our site.

Now that tells me it's pretty dang close to real!
murphraven May 20th 2008 2:09PM
So... why is this article still here if there's no information and we can't talk about the information that was here but is not here anymore?
