Macro Anatomy: Addon counting
For today's short, but sweet, installment of Macro Anatomy, I wanted to share one I found on the forums. Macro superstar Belleboom of the Earthen Ring server has quite a listing of macros, many of which will find their way here in the future.
I wanted to profile this one just for the sheer joy of it. What it does is quite simple, it counts how many addons you're using and prints it in the chat frame. Nothing too complicated, and it works fine if you'd like to copy and paste it to your macro interface.
Here it is:
That's what you get today, as I've yet to get my head fully out of my posterior this month. (Feel free to send in suggestions on how I could go about doing this.) Vacation ruins my ability to live a normal life. In closing, I want to field this question: How many addons does a player need to be using in order to considered an "Addon Junkie"?
Every week Macro Anatomy takes you on a magic carpet ride through the world of macros. Sometimes you will encounter existing macros that you can use off the shelf. We'll break them down and figure out how they work. Other times we'll just talk about the different parts of a macro and how you can use them to create your own. You can always stop by the shop if you want to catch up or get started with macros.

369 FTW!
But then again I am using a modified (and much more stable) rendition of MazzleUI called ArkiveUI. If you liked Mazzle, you'll LOVE Arkive!

I looked at that - it IS very awesome. The only (and from my POV, only) downside is that if you do have to tweak your settings, you'll have to redo them every update since you need to use the supplied WTF folder settings. For a lot of folks, that's probably still OK. I still might give it a go.

Arkive is working on documenting what gets updated so that doesn't need to be done as much. Hopefully you'll be able to just move over certain files that get updated.

I'm still using MazzleUI... I just followed the advised instructions on adjusting and updating, and it works perfectly.

Damn, it just told me I have 131 addons running on my raiding healer shammy, which can't really be true... I think it's counting every Bongos, Auctioneer and DBM option as a separate addon, though. And I really need them all! :P

Yeah, I have 204 running and I know most of those are libraries.

325, mostly Ace.

104

287 but I think 75% of them are libraries (i'm not using embedded versions of the libraries)

i was wondering, if this is truly a screenshot, whats with your druid form icons? i can see the bear and cat so i know those are druid forms but why are they green? i've never seen them that way. they've always been blue and with different pictures than those. is that another add on?

Yes, that is a screenshot. I am using Ethens Druid Icons, and although they are no longer in development (according to Curse Gaming), they still work. A Google search will yield the set, they replace a ton of icons.
