Many realms down for extra maintenance

The complete list of affected realms is: Aegwynn, Akama, Aman'Thul, Arathor, Barthilas, Blackrock, Bonechewer, Caelestrasz, Chromaggus, Dath'Remar, Dragonmaw, Drak'thul, Draka, Dreadmaul, Eitrigg, Eldre'Thalas, Firetree, Frostmane, Frostmourne, Frostwolf, Garithos, Gurubashi, Hakkar, Jubei'Thos, Khaz Modan, Khaz'goroth, Kil'Jaeden, Kilrogg, Korgath, Kul Tiras, Malorne, Mug'thol, Muradin, Nagrand, Nathrezim, Ner'zhul, Proudmoore, Rexxar, Runetotem, Scarlet Crusade, Sen'jin, Shadow Council, Shadowsong, Silver Hand, Silvermoon, Skywall, Smolderthorn, Spirestone, Terenas, Thaurissan, Thorium Brotherhood, Tichondrius, Vek'nilash, Windrunner. Again, these realms will allegedly be up at 1:00 PM PDT/4:00 PM EDT.
Update (4:15 PM): All realms appear to be online and operational.

Maintenance day is occasionally referred to as Caturday. *shrug*

You mean the fact that they just did rolling restarts last week? There was a while where they were doing full maintenance every week, but the last 2-3 times they should have just done rolling restarts, that was actually the case.

If you remeber when BC was almost ready they where getting ready for more traffic i presume that this would also be the reason for this as well.

What interests me is last time we in Caelestrasz went down for server maintainance it was at 5am server time. So we all thought "Brillant Blizzrd are finally being nice to the Oceanic players on the Oceanic realm..." er... no it seemed to be a once of and most guilds were running raids last night... our guild was SSCing when the 15 minute warning came on! I don't recall seeing a message about server maintanence... truth be told we all thought it was a restart this week anyway. But now I'm home from work and hopefully the ExM is over and fixed now. /crossesfingers
