Forum Post of the Day: Fordragon, Saurfang, and original armor

And just in case you were worried that a CM would get away with making fun of what might have been a serious player question, Drysc gets burned right back when Aure asks if the same thing happened to Shaman armor sets. "Ouch," as many players say, is about right.
Of course, none of the burning actually answers the questions, so I guess that's what we're here for. No, Bolvar probably won't be redone in the expansion: if the King of Stormwind storyline comes to a head, he may be on his way out anyway (although then who would fight off Onyxia's minions?). And be careful what you ask for with Shaman armor -- next thing you know, we'll have totems coming out of our shoulders (actually, that might be pretty cool). And yes, High Overlord Saurfang can punch the whatever he wants out of whoever he wants.

Eh, I'm betting that when Wrynn comes back to Stormwind he's gonna trudge right out to Northrend, and that's where we'll see him - fighting scourge out of Valgarde. They'll leave in all the Prestor/Fordragon drama in Stormwind for alts who want to get ony attuned. (?!)

Its' already announced (HIGHLORD) Bolvar Fordragon will be moving to Northrend as commander of Stormwind's armies (Valgarde, Valliance Keep etc). To add, the comic storyline shows The King, Varian to return to his seat in Stormwind. To top that cake, detailed screens and videos show a massive harbor added to Stormwind.

Except that one of the Alliance factions in the alpha is Valiance expedition, under the command of Varian Wrynn.
Jason May 28th 2008 6:36PM
Yes indeed. Slipped my mind. Valliance Keep shows a big statue of Varian Wrynn with the 'Lo'Gosh' armor.

Well they could always change it to having the King giving out the needed info on hunting down the dragon whom tried to kick him out of his kingdom. Though D: having Onyxia appear like that from Prastor would be much missed. Unless she showed up and he pointed the finger at her and she turned. or something....... who knows....

I never found the Saurfang/Norris jokes funny at all. He's just a orc covered in spikes and Horde insignias. He's what Thrall would look like if overzealous Hordies dressed him. 4 TEH HORD!

Here's a hint: The Comedy lies deep within the absurdity of Chuck Norris jokes.
Comedy has many levels. Time to go out and grind, m'boy.

Ever wondered why the general laughs at lil' Saurtooth?

Roll an alliance character and go have a chat with Saurfang.
There's a reason most attacks on Thrall come through the side door.

The jokes about how tough he is stem from back in the day when Alliance would Mind Control him during raids and proceed to DESTROY people. His cleave and execute probably still hit like Semi Trucks on 70s.

Try watching this. The guy was level 60 and hitting people for 12345. Hell go 2:15 in. Saurfang lands a 19K on somebody. The end of the video even has him ONE SHOTTING a High Warlord, when that armor wasn't a dime a dozen.
Blackhorn May 28th 2008 5:17PM
I think Saurfang punched the bandwidth right out of WoW General too.

Because Bolvar is so oblivious to the fact that Onyxia is standing next to him, can the King actually trust this guy to run an army? There are other "advisors" standing near the boy king who could take over Bolvar's "duties" in handing out quests and slaying Onyxia's minions when they appear. That's always so funny, when you bring a guild member to Bolvar and there are low levels who don't know what's going on and Onyxia appears. It would be a shame to lose that event. Easiest dragon scales you'll ever get.

Here's the video where they talk about moving Highlord Bolvar to Northrend. Something tells me he will be all new and fresh. It sounds like they may finally tell his story.

The burn wasn't from the CM, but from a post that replied to the CM
-------------------------------------------------------------Q u o t e:
Saurfang punched the originality out of him.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Did he do the same to our armor sets?
Daimon May 29th 2008 9:58AM
now that you mention it, may Fordragon be involved in the King missing? he's next to Onyxia, he's now the new "king"; Onyxia doesn't atack him but the other guy, and he does nothing to prevent it, to those who finished the quest onyxia keep respawning next to him...conspiracy any1?

I was thinking. The king's return will kinda negate the missing diplomat quest chain. Especially if the king is in Stormwind. Putting aside the first chain, at the end of the expanded chain will be interesting to read.
At the end of the extended chain now, you report your findings to Fordragon after being teleported to him by Jania Proudmore. If Fordragon wanders off to Northrend and the true king is now on the throne, your report will look like this.
Player: "Your highness. Jania Proudmore just teleported me to tell you urgent news. The king was kidnapped by the Defias Brotherhood and his kidnappers have now lost him in a shipwreck."
King: "Um... Yeah. Thanks for telling me... What happened to... Me. I'll... Get right on that."
And of course, assuming she doesn't get kicked to the curb, that part of the Alliance Onyxia attunement will be anti-climatic. Maybe they'll offer Marshal Windsor a nice retirement package instead of death at the hands of a number of dragonkin.

I'd like totem shoulders, make them mobile!
Turalyon Jul 30th 2008 5:32PM
Bolvar and Saurfang are both moving to Northrend and will both get new armor. Saurfang will be stood alongside Garrosh Hellscream in Warsong Hold in Borean Tundra wearing Tier 6 warrior armor still using the same 2h axe. Bolvar will be at Fodragon Hold in The Dragonblight, wearing the old Paladin pvp armor from pre Tbc
