Two comments on the information discussed in this post from the eyes of a woman who is a self-proclaimed priestaphiliac and a Spirit fiend (The Human Spirit nets me 10% and Spirit of Redemption is another 5%, yum!).
First off, as awesome as it is that Spirit will be used by other classes, I'm loathe to suddenly consider being in competition for gear that has that ever so loverly Spirit stat in light of gear homogenization. Mind you, I play mostly a Holy priest and a Discipline priest so I'd be focused mainly on gear touting Bonus Healing, but my itty-bitty Shadow priest is crying in the corner at the idea.
Secondly, the love of Spirit from other classes makes me happy, especially in light of the fact that I primarily raid as a 23/38/0 priest specced NOT for Circle of Healing but for Improved Divine Spirit. While the information leaked about priests so far leaves me thinking that Holy priests might fall to the wayside as Discipline priests get elevated to the top, it still makes me giddy to see my favorite-yet-oh-so-neglected stat get some more lovin'.
This makes me want to get my not-quite-yet-70 warlock all ready for the expansion so I can see some of the awesome changes!

Well remember now. Spirit only affects Demo and I think Destro locks. Affliction still has dark pact up their sleeves with our little mana battery out. (Our little phase shifted Imp who loves to get spirit buffs)
You know.. As a load of warlocks complained about the life tap nerf, I simply just hugged Dark Pact knowing it wouldn't change the way I played at all. Nor does having more spirit.

I have to disagree on that.
"CoH" or AoE healing priests are still going to be the majority. Our multi-target heals are better, and we will have much better healing and mana use individually.
What I do see happening, is that instead of priests going 23/38 like they are now, you will have your first priest going deep disc for utitlity. Specifically, Rapture. That one ability makes going deep disc worth it. 2.5% back on all healing done by GH, FH, and Penance? Jesus. Plus you also get Pain Supression. Power Infusion and .5sec Mass Dispells, and Imp Spirit which are great PvE Abilties, Plus Healing utility in Divine Aegis (30% healed = shield on crits), and Grace (buff on heals that increases healing done). I see either a 51/20 or 53/18 spec for deep disc. (you gotta get improved healing, GHs cost far too much if not).
But again, those are Utility, The Multi-Target heal ability of holy priests will more than likely be more important. CoH, now that it hits all raid members, its just sick naaaasty, despite the 8sec cd.
Anyways, lets just say that whatever tree you decide to go, you will be wanted in raids. =D
P.S. Yay for Demonform!
